Hmm, would not surprise me either, as Kelsay points out, a fire sale could easily happen in Buffalo.

I would not mind Roscoe Parrish, he fits a need at Returner, but the guy who would be #1 on my wish list is Lee Evans, a legit #2 Wr and deep threat.

Beast/Evans/Hartline would be a fine Wr corps.

The Bills will not trade anyone to the Dolphins or anyone else in the AFC East. Sorry to bust your bubble.

I could see them trading Lynch or Jackson to GB for a pick. GB has a huge hole at RB right now and if they want to make a deep playoff run they;ll need a better starting quality rb

Of course not, that'd make too much sense for BUF.

Lynch is the most logical guy to get shipped off - they don't have the touches for 3 RBs right now. Just lean on the cheap Jackson and youngster Spiller while they find a QB and OL. Lynch was teammates and friends with Rogers at Cal as well, and Rogers has openly said he would welcome Lynch.

As far as other players, I guess Lee Evans could go to a team like Washington or the Vikes maybe. Florence and Whitner would be interesting moves, with no immediately obvious spots.

The Bills biggest problem is thinking Edwards was a franchise QB for years and not reinforcing the OL. They were just good enough to make people think they could get to the playoffs for years, but were in the downward spiral all along. It will be a tough climb back up.

I for one wouldn't object to throwing a 3rd at them for Spiller. :taunt:

Yes, because no team has traded within their division in the past year. :001_rolleyes:

Same thing happened to the Dolphins for about 6 yrs, just terrible drafts with no vision attached.

Whether or not they move players inside the division it will be interesting to see what Rook GM Buddy Nix does over the next 3 weeks.

I suspect he has a bit of AJ Smith in him, but we shall see, moving Evans to the Vikes would make sense for both teams, the Vikes could afford him, the Bills really don't need him. And it would make more sense for the Bills to move Fred Jackson to Green Bay rather than Lynch.

It's pretty simple. The Bills need a quarterback. They get that guy and the team is instantly competitive.

If I’m Buffalo, I realize it’s 3-4 years before I’m competitive assuming that a rebuild proceeds quickly and the team hits on most of its draft picks immediately. In that instance, I take the picks and don’t worry what my division rivals are doing.

Roscoe Parrish to the Dolphins makes a lot of sense.

This makes sense to me. Just get as many picks as you can. The players aren't doing anything for you now, so who cares if they go to a division rival. Get picks. Hope they pan out. And when they do, the people you traded away will be over the hill anyway.

I DO NOT trade CJ Spiller.

Exactly. If you aren’t going to be competitive any time soon, then the short-term success of your division rivals is meaningless in the calculus of rebuilding.

Or Leodis McKelvin. Everyone else should be for sale.

I would love to have Lee Evans. He's completely checked this season though. I wonder if we'll hear the Tyler Thigpen rumors start up again.

For all the complaints we have had about the Fins over the last decade, Buffallo is a complete embarresment, for a once proud franchise.

Terrible coaching/gm hires, terrible drafting, complete lack of vision for building a football team. Just horrible.

Passing on Oher for Maybin was ridiculous. going Spiller over a QB/Iupati/Earl Thomas was ridiculous.

Even STL seems to have finally gotten things moving in the right direction.

The Rams were horrid for 4 seasons WC, and play in a much much weaker division than the AFCE will be for the next 4 seasons.

    Imho:

    -Two Tackles
    -3 Lb's
-passrushing DE assuming Maybin is the bust he appears to be.
    -Te
    -new Wr corps

I'd filter in some UDFA type Tackles like Meredith, and try to sign impending CFL FA Phil Hunt, churn and make do at Te and then see which Wr's want to stay in Buffalo.

Free agents will go to the worst teams if it means big money. Example: Jason Brown leaving a Ravens team that made it to the AFC Championship Game and going to what turned out to be a 1-15 Rams squad.

Your team’s problem is that free agents don’t want to go to Buffalo. Not the Bills. Buffalo.

If your draft success rate begins to approach Jeff Ireland levels, then you’ll be a good team again… eventually.

You do realize that both the Packers and Cardinals were choc full of All Pro types on Defense and Offense?

Aaron Rogers took 3 yrs to develop, Curt Warner was a SB champion and made several playoff runs with both the Rams and Cardinals..

My issue with the Bills is, Nix is not very dynamic, Irish will move a player out of Miami in 2 days and bring someone else in to do the job, Nix just gave Kelsay an extension..after 3 games..and he is 30..WTH?

Well, I followed how Ireland rebuild the Phins and he constantly churned the bottom 15 players on the roster, including practice squad players, Nix isn't doing so.

that is how Gems are found, if you keep running the same players out on the field, you will get the same results, why not take some shots like starting Donald Jones?

In 2008, Ireland made 100+ roster moves..how many has Nix made?

Pos is not a 3-4 LB. Too small to play inside and probably not strong enough. He needs to add 10-15LBs if he wants to play inside and shed guards. Your best LB according to Pro Football Focus is Andra Davis right now while Kelsay is actually your worst. Buddy Nix = overmatched :wink2:

Nix was more responsible for the team in San Diego than AJ Smith was.

Clearly the best, but Mallett might not be a horrid pick if they can't get Luck. A strong arm is not something to shy away from when you play in Buffalo.

That brings up a question really, how many more bad years can Buffalo withstand before the team packs bags and heads to LA or Toronto or something?

Yep, Stiff Qb who makes poor decisions at best he would be Joe Flacco.

Jake Locker is possibly worse, he does not impress me at all.

Oct 19th is the trade deadline, if Moss went for a 3rd, what would Evans value be?

    4th maybe?

    Really?

That would be a whopping bargain, Evans for a 5th?

He does have a largish contract, but that is Roscoe Parrish value.

IMO we're talking about a 29 year old wide receiver who has never put up big numbers and has a contract I'd rather not pay.

Hmm, I see a Wr who managed 1k seasons with terrible Qb's who has fallen out of favor with the current regime.

And he has never had leg injuries..at least AFAIK..put him in the Deep Threat position across from Beast.
