I dont know if it was a mistake by them or but why wouldnt we take thier place in the seeding seeing we beat them?
no....if 3 teams or more are tied.....the head 2 head is canceled.......and the tie breaker goes to conference record..... so if playoffs started today jags in.......us out... its ridiculous. i know.
The poster said ESPN had Miami as the 6th seed. If that is indeed the case (I haven't checked ESPN) they are wrong.
I dont get it. The playoffs AREN'T STARTING TODAY so who cares what would happen if the playoffs started today?
I really don't know if Baltimore loses again, man. I hope the Steelers pull one more effort out of them against a rival at home in two weeks.
That's the only game left on their schedule that I could envision them losing. Dolphin nation will be squirming in their collective seats during that one. Hey, look on the bright side, at least we're playing meaningful football in December. Regardless, the Steelers better get their act together, quickly.
patriots play @ bills, home jags, @ texans.......they lose any of those games........we win the afc east (if we win out) so im not giving up on our chance for a division.....patriots are looking more and more average....not exceptional.
I could see the ravens losing to the bears too. Not saying that I expect them to, but I could see it.
The Jets have to play INDY and CIN to finish the season. Baltimore has the easiest schedule. Denver still has PHI to play and Oakland, which may not sound like much, but they are hardly a push over. Jacksonville has INDY and NE next so it is likely they lose one of those games, which means they have the same number of conference losses, if they lose both, then we have them. By the way this is the Conference standings http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/standings/Conference?year=2009 Or at least what they say it is. Best thing is to see after this week is all said and done.
That's what forums are for. I would venture to guess everyone here cares. Does it matter today? NO But its fun to talk about.
I also think that New England will have a tough time winning against both Jacksonville and Houston to end the season.
None of these scenarios are really set in stone. Jacksonville could lose to both NE and Indy. Miami could lose to Houston, Tenn, or Pitt if they show up. Baltimore could lose to Chi or Pitt. Maybe Oakland since Oakland is already demolishing the rest of the AFC North for some reason lol. Right now, Jacksonville has the 6th spot, and they only have to match Miami and Baltimore, but none of these teams are even close to being in the clear yet. All 3 have huge scares on their schedule.
We don't need help from sports networks either way. Keep in mind, the season didn't end today. The Dolphins' play should speak for itself within the coming weeks.
