So, FA is behind us, the draft is half over, what about the Fins?

Offensively, we are better. We got faster at WR, we have an outstanding TE prospect, and I think we have improved our Oline.

We lost Pouncey, but we added Sitton and Kilgore...I think that's a net plus. Hopefully Tunsil will be improved and Juwuan James is healthy. I like Jesse Davis at RG. I think if we can get settled in TC and have Brendel, Asiata, and Larsen for depth--it's vastly better than what we've had in the past.

WR--We lost Jarvis' production, but we also added speed. Having a 4.7 guy as the QBs security blanket isn't going to scare defenses. I think now our offense will produce bigger plays because we more explosive players.

Not only do we have good WRs, but we have young players that could develop. Isaiah Ford and Drew Morgan are both there pushing the starters. Amendola can really have an impact a guy like Morgan...same size, same position. I can see good things.

TE--I really like Gesicki. I wouldn't be opposed to drafting Chris Herndon if he's still there in 6th round, just to give us two young productive players. But just having Gesicki is going to give the offense a different dimension.

Gase's offense (like every offense, I guess) is built on making the defense choose coverage. If the offensive personnel can be defended with base personnel, that's advantage defense. If the defense has to choose, by bringing in a "specialist" to defend certain players or formations, advantage offense.

By splitting Gesicki out, he's going to have to be guarded by a S. That should open up the deep middle. If they put a LB on his, he should be open. And not just any S can cover Gesicki. Jamal Adams probably can, I would think Minkah can, probably a few others...but many cannot. But in any case, if we can dictate where Adams lines up, that's good for Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson and DeVante Parker. In the red zone, Gesicki is going to be...SICK. The guy has a ridiculous catch radius...and soft hands. We haven't had a TE like him since Keith Jackson.

Our back 7 is now a strength, IMO. That sounds crazy to even write. With the development of our young CBs, the additions of Fitzpatrick, the better utilization of TMac...getting Raekwon and now Jerome Baker in the mix--I really, really like this group. I understand neither of those LBs has played an NFL snap, but there is A LOT to like about both. I am still bullish on Stephone Anthony and Chase Daniel...Consider where we were last season...HUGE improvement, IMO.

The Dline is my biggest concern. Would love to draft Kendrick Norton...I think he could give us some quality snaps in replacement of Suh. He doesn't need to be all world...just come in and don't get pushed off the ball. Hopefully Godchaux and Vincent come to camp in great shape and prepared to really break out.

And we need a Kicker. The good news is kicking competitions will be happening on 20 teams, so we'll be able to get a competent guy.

And the 800lb Gorilla in the room is Tannehill's health. If he's healthy, this offense is going to be much, much better. If he goes down again, we are in play for Nick Bosa, 2019. But...the reality is, while his knee has been repaired, he hasn't taken a lick in almost two years. He should be feeling great otherwise. And he's gotten to see the offense from the coaches POV.

Long post to say...I really like what the Fins have done in this draft and offseason.
