True, but we got basically 3 starters and one rotational guy in rounds 6 and after. LOL. And this year we still have 4 picks in the 1st 100... with a deep draft class at that. Sorry, have to be Devil's advocate. You're right though, it will be more challenging to match what we did last year... but in all fairness, getting at least 4 quality contributors still puts us ahead of the curve. We might get those 4 with our first 4 picks, leaving the rest as bonuses if they hit.
Deep at what positions? corners and linebackers appear to be somewhat weak. Linebackers at the top of the heap look promising, but will they fall to us? And wide receiver? If one falls to us in the late first round, do we really pick a wideout in the first round for the second time in three years? Quite frankly, I think this is one of the weakest draft classes in awhile and Bill Parcells and Co. will have to very prudent to make up for what many feel, was a lackluster free agency period.
I'm not convinced that Brady will be the same as he was just yet. What if he's not. There are so many contingencies here. That's why I'm not ready to say yet that the Pats will be more improved than the Dolphins. We'll have a better picture when the season draws closer.
Thanks. I posted with out reading this. That's exactly what I ment. After that incredible Ronnie catch, maaan, we were back and we were back in a game where I couldn't remember our Oline or Pennington playing so atrociously, not even at the Arizona debacle. There is a sense of character with this team and you can see it in their body language. I know you guys can feel these players like I can. My friends who are just your average fans and not devouted, proud, freaks like us find it amazing because I can tell by the way these guys walk out of the locker room or into a huddle whether we are going to have a a good or bad day. Sometimes we're behind and I'm not even worried. Bring on the schedule, bring on Owens, bring on the east- Im not worried. Im excited. It's fun to be a Dolphins fan again.
down the stretch this season i started having confidence in the phins ability to close out a game. whether it was from the lead, or from 2 scores down, i knew they would be in it to the end as long as it stayed within 16 with 10 minutes left.
I don't feel that it's top heavy, but there is a great bit of talent in rounds 2-5. WR, MLB, Rush LB, S, Guard, Center, TE, Wildcat options, 3-4 DE, RB are all as deep or deeper than last year from the 2nd round on. You can argue that corner actually isn't bad either.
Gi§h get ready to be pounded......I said the same thing a few months ago, and was kicked to the gutter.
True, its more obvious who the pick was at # 1. At # 25 its more of a crapshoot. Just look at The Great Satan's 2nd first pick, Jason Allen. Many on FH (there was no ThePhins then) thought it was a great pick. Now it looks like a complete dud.
