You guys need a new thread to post how the Jets are going to get crushed, so here you go The only thing I can say right now is that I feel the Jets have a much better chance in this year's game than last year's.
I'm sure it will be a competitive game. Is it baseball season yet? At least I know Bill Parcells can't **** over the Atlanta Braves.
It will be a close game, looking forward to it. But I think the steelers win by <3. Rothlisberger will be the difference. scary thing is, if the Jets had a good QB they'd be champs easily.
out of curiosity, who did you root for when the Giants played the Pats in the Super Bowl? That must have been tough, like when the Red Sox played the Mets in the World Series for me?
That was proven last week when the Jets ***** slapped Marcia Brady and the Patsies sent from my EVO 4G
Though it pains me 2 say it... the Jets have the talent to make it to the Big Game... It will all depend on Mark Sanchez today, more than it did against NE... NE D has really not played well the whole year and their stats are mostly on the last 1/3 of the NFL... Can Mark duplicate his performance that he had against the Steeler earlier in the year??? One thing for sure, I don't believe that Pit will be outcoached today...
i think this game will come down to a couple factors. Number one the Jets have a huge advantage in special teams. I see them getting the advantage of field position from the return game all game long. Its probably worth around six points. Second, I think the Steelers can limit the Jets offense. I think if the Jets score it will be with quick strikes from the passing game rather than long drawn out drives. The Steelers secondary is susceptible a bit so I'll give the Jets another 14 points giving them a total of 20. The Steelers on the other hand can keep the Jets off balance I believe. Ben Roethlisberger has steeped up his game into the elite category IMO. I think he's in the same category as Brady and Manning now. His ability to keep the play alive is second to noone and when he does he doesnt settle for dumpoffs. He keeps it alive to hit you for twenty yard passes. I think between Big Ben and Mendenhall who I belive will be able to run up the middle on the Jets defense they can put up 28 points. So my final score is Steelers 28-20 Jets
Close game and both teams have talent. Jets actually have a better chance this game then last season. I think though it pains me to say the Jets might pull out the win.
Jets need to play D like last week. If so, the Steelers will have a hard time scoring points. sent from my EVO 4G
IMO, if they play defense like they did last weekend they will lose. First, the Steelers running game is better than the Patriots. The Patriots have a good running game mind you, but what opens up their running game is the fact that the Pats use short, precise throws and then rely on their receiver to get YAC. The Jets are great against the run, but they didn't key in on it against the Pats. If they don't key in on it today the Steelers will run the ball all over the Jets. Next, Ben has a better deep ball than Brady and is also better under pressure. Ben also moves better and is not afraid to take the hit. Of course sometimes that causes sacks, but a lot of time it allows the WR to get behind the DB. Between trying to stop the run, Ward and Wallace I just don't see the Jets being able to stop them all. In all honesty I just don't think the Jets match up too well with the Steelers. Of course any given Sunday and all of that (Seahawks- Saints for example) but I think the Steelers win 28 - 10.
I have the odd feeling that even though it is 24-12, Steelers - something tells me the Jets will come back and win it.
Valiant effort but not quite what they were looking for. That first half was just too terrible for them to overcome.
Well, the Jests made a game out of it in the 2nd half. They stopped keying on the pass, like they did against the Patriots, and stopped the run. Too bad they dug themselves such a big whole in the first half. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah! In reality they only had one good drive and that safety...well, and the Steeler DB fell down too. And like I've said to all Jests fans for the last 41 years at some point during the season, "See ya' next season, 'cause we won't be seeing ya' in the Super Bowl.
