No he is not. I do not believe that for a second. Im sure he had a valid reason to miss practice and agent is doing what agents do best. He isn't going anywhere. Drama queen.

He's just mad that they took his money. The coaches probably told him to tone it down and he walked out mad after going on a verbal rampage.

I believe this as much as I believe 'Big Ben' when he said he contemplated retiring.

Just like Brett Farve was considering retirement.

Tomlin on Harrison missing practice: "We had a meeting this morning, it was a very productive one." He wants him to return fresh tomorrow.

As Rosenthal pointed out earlier in the hour, the Steelers excused linebacker James Harrison from practice, a day after he was fined $75,000 for an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit on Browns receiver Mohamed Massaquoi.

Harrison supposedly is contemplating retirement. (Apparently, he'll make a decision after seeing whether he can find another job that will pay him several millions dollars per year.)

Harrison's agent, Bill Parise, tells Adam Schefter of ESPN that Harrison is "very serious" about quitting.

"We wouldn't joke about this," Parise said. "This is a very serious issue. James is very concerned about how to play football. If James is going to be fined $75,000 for making a legal tackle, then how do you go play football? It's quite frustrating to James, to coach Tomlin, to me, to everybody."

Form tackling is a lost art. Harrison can lay the wood, but apparently grabbing the ball carrier and pulling them to the ground is beneath someone of his stature.

Form tackling is hard nowadays. Yes, its bad at the highest level, but it's also difficult to tackle some of these guys. At some point, you grab an arm or leg and you hold on for dear life.

Form tackling is hard because no one wants to do it. Exhibit A: James Harrison.

This isn’t wanting to tackle but whiffing. This is not wanting to tackle because apparently tackling isn’t real football, but knocking someone with your helmet is.

While it is far more likely than not that Harrison is just being overly emotional here, there have been a small number of players who have just walked away when certain frustrations grew. The key is what the player will be giving up. The money is the obvious thing, but if you're a player like Jake Scott the money may not matter. For some its the spotlight, but if you're a player like Barry Sanders you may not even want it. For others its more about the principal. That why a player like Jim Brown walked away when the owner gave him an ultimatum. It depends a great deal on the personality of the player and I don't know enough about Harrison to speculate on his personality.

Well, he's already basically said that he likes to hurt people...... so if that pleasure is taken away from him then he might not have anything left to play for. Just sayin.
