He wasn’t a threat in the pass game, players knew it when he was on the field, easy cover when he did come out, sorry route runner..I saw the difference in how quick Drake could get into his route and be available, way faster than Ajayi,Cutler was using it to his advantage, the passing threat to the back was there and was effective when Drake held the position, equals better offense.

Drake can also line up in the slot beat man coverage and catch a quick slant, Ajayi couldnt, Drake could line up outside and work down the field..one of the few backs who can keep his head steady when running full speed and make a catch in stride with his hands..

It was also obvious as heck what Ajayi wanted to do when running the ball..linebackers were anticipating..

I wouldn’t expect much 8 in the box with drake in the backfield

If I’m playing miami status quo I’m more concerned with the quick passing game beating me than anything else.

Cause tanny can make quick correct decisions in 11 personnel based o pre to post snap primary reads very efficiently.

Where miami may get in trouble is if we get behind the sticks but you can say that about any two way go slot ask 11 personnel driven scheme. Tom Brady can’t live in 3rd and 8 plus either.

If tanny was to get hurt it’s josh rosen we want under center the most for that style o.

If he got to 11 I’d bet you all the money in my wallet miami would run that card up. They wouldn’t pass up a top 3 bpa worthy scheme fit.

I get that Gase is using team performance to justify moving certain guys, and I'm not necessarily opposed to having moved Landry (compensation aside), but we all know the QB position was the main reason for the team's record last season.
