I don't know much about this and saw that Todd McShay had him as a Top 5 Draft pick. Is he really thtat good? I thought Maurice Evans was the stud on their defense. Need some info here

Doesn't use his hands all that well so he struggles shedding blocks and while he has very good quickness off the line, its inconsistent from what I've seen. He's a very raw prospect who relies on his athletic ability to get to the Quarterback and has a good motor IMO.

    In before Stitches gets here.

Yes Maybin is a monster, very high motor from what I could tell in the Ohio St game.

Very high motor, hard worker, will do whatever you ask him to. Intense first step and burst. Like all Penn state players, he lacks lower body strength (but that can come from NFL weight program).

POTENTIAL. Immense amounts. Big play machine.

Solid tackler, but not the best. Will never quit on a play though.

Solid frame, with room to grow. Only like 4% body fat at the moment.

Gained playing time because of injuries/suspensions, never relinquished starting job once other players returned to the line-up.

if I had to compare him to someone at the moment it would either be John Abraham or Jason Taylor (when he came out of school), but he can be so much more.

Does not have proper technique yet (hands or otherwise), but has shown improvement with each snap IMO.

Has petitioned the NFL; is explosive off the edge and has a good knowledge for angles and for mixing up his rush. He's also pretty relentless, although at 2316bs, there are some issues as to where his position lies at the next level.

You'd think weighing in at just over a ton, that with his speed they'd be able to find a place for him. :shifty:

With that weight, we might be able to find a replacement to anchor the middle of the line on both sides.
