As a special tribute to JT I am copying a thread I made for the Club level so that everyone can enjoy it.The custom made highlights are a regular feature of our Club level .It was made before JT was traded so its a little dated http://s224.photobucket.com/albums/dd1/bytesandbits/?action=view¤t=JTTribute.flv
Thats a cool thing about gifs. You can join them to look like a video highlight and you always have them availble to re-edit as required. Posting a lot of gifs on a web page takes a long time to load especially for those with slow connections so this is another way to employ them
Awesome job Derek. Thanks. His fire and his dedication and leadership to and for this team cannot be equaled, IMO, except for his brother-in-law.
Good stuff, Derek! I loved the days that Jason played with passion. It showed in his willingness to go full bore on every play. Unfortunately we didn't see it all that much last year. I am keeping up the hope that something or someone re-ignights that spark and, if that happens, that he plays out his career as a Miami Dolphin.
WOW in all the drama I forgot just how dominant he is. I hope we get to see another year (or few) of highlights in a Phins uniform!
Thanks man, one of the things that has made JT special over the last several years is just how good he has gotten at getting strip sacks. Might be the best at it in the game right now. Other thing that those clips make me think of is that I sure miss Saban's D of where JT was all over the place causing havoc. Glad he isnt still here but boy did I love that defense.
He's very good with his hands. They're extremely quick. It's tough to appreciate his speed sometimes but the best part of his speed is his body lean while he's moving so fast. He stays in control of himself and it keeps tackles trying to guess whether he's going to cut inside or take the outside, even while he's moving fast enough for an outside pass rush so the tackles are already hurrying as fast as they can to mirror. He's good at masking his intentions, you see a couple of sacks where the tackles hurry to the outside and then start thinking Jason will cut back to the inside, but he just takes the outside shoulder anyway.
I might not agree with everything JT has done or said during the offseason, but I want him back. We have to remember how much we'll miss the type of plays he can make once he's gone. I'm sure there were people who might have agreed that it was Dan Marino's time to go when he got pushed out, but how many of us looking back wouldn't have liked to see him play 2 or 3 more years in Miami? Plus, I'm optimistic. I think we can get this thing turned around in 2 years, so if JT could be talked into a 2nd season after this one, he might help us get to the playoffs.
Awesome job Del boy. That game against Chicago when they were undefeated was a great performance from a great player. I hope something clicks this season to re-light the fire.
Thanks AGAIN CT. I love these threads of yours. I dont want JT to go, and I dont think we will get proper value for him if we ARE trying to trade him. Let him finish his career like Marino did, as a DOLPHIN. I believe ZACH would have prefered to stay in MIami, if it was his choice, but that one didnt work out. This one can.
I want Jason Taylor to want to be here, to want to be a Dolphin, to want to make this team better and to want to work hard for it. Unfortunately, Jason's not cooperating very well. He wants to be elsewhere.
We sure will miss him if he goes. He's a great football player. I want him to stay, always have. On some of the plays he looked more like a receiver.
No one has the attitude or personality of Zach. He's one in a million in his own right. But to me, so is JT.
Thank you very much for that gift. With all the negative press he has gotten during this off season, I forgot how much he gave to this team and how much I enjoyed watching him play. This once more ignites my desire for this season to get under way and watch our beloved dolphins play.
I think it should read WAS not is, I am eager to see if he still got it. The first 4-5 games for Taylor last season were pathetic, the rest of the year was decent. I hope he can regain his 2006 form and dominate once again
I actually wonder if position they play comes under the microscope. Zach, Offerdahl and Buonicontti all portrayed themselves well, and were also corner stones to the Organisation. All played middle or ILB. All solid players and team captains. I always think that DE and OLB's can be a little more reckless, as is there nature of their game. I think the "Face" can be anyone, but is usually some one that excells at their position. They dont need to be a role model at their position, especially when it comes to being good L Taylor B Cox D Thomas D Sanders R Harrison Are examples of brilliant players who may have bent the rules. This probably has nothing to do with the original post, but is in keeping of what you expect from me
I do to. Zach is wonderful. But, I think the press put JT, Sparano and yes, even bp, in this spot. I think we're the presses whipping post because of our last season and JT makes for good press and rumors. I wish it would stop, but, they won't let it. I just want the Miami Dolphins back and to watch them improve day by day, game by game and put us in contention again. I already miss Zach. I will watch some Dallas games just to see him again. I still love JT and what he's done for us, and hopefully will again. I just want an end to the soap opera for his sake and ours and get down to football.
Derek you are still the GIF King, loved it. JT is an awesome player and I hope he plays out the rest of his career in a Dolphins uniform.
At this point we can only wish him the best. Good job Derek, you should have thrown DVDA's "Montage Song" in there for good measure.
Watching highlights of Jason Taylor is hard for me. Losing him and Zach in the same off-season...I never would have thought that would ever happen. I thought both would be Dolphins for life.
I thought so too. But the reality is the NFL kicks us in the crotch sometimes and we start new era's. I hope this one is a good one. I don't know if my family can take too many more Phin blunders.
It'll be weird not to see him on the field his year in a Dolphins uniform. He owns quite a few team records down there. I'm glad he left on good terms with the team, fans, and community. So long JT, thanks for the memories.
