Hey guys. I'm sorry to see how your season is going. It reminds me of 2005 for us. We had just gone 7-9 and everyone was picking us to make some noise. We went 2-14 and didn't win a game until week 7. At 0-4, I have a few questions. First, have you given up on your season? Are you in Suck for Luck mode yet? Second, do you consider Marshall part of your future? You guys might have heard we have a guy named Johnson in Houston and he's hurt. We need a #2 across from him anyways and yes, I know this draft is deep for receivers but they can't play next week. So my question is, what would your starting price for Marshall be?

A 3rd with escalators up to a first? Or how about a RB. Marshall + a conditional 3rd or 4th for Tate?

Just curious if you would even think of it.

I would ask for a first, or least a pair of deuces. If we are going to get a young QB in the draft, you would preferably want him to have a few decent weapons or you start to look like the Rams. Unless the price is in your favor, you keep Marshall.

I edited it. What about a Ben Tate? I'm kind of sorry but I don't think Bush is a long term answer for you guys, not as a full time RB. Tate is a stud.

I think a fair compensation would be a 2nd and a fourth round. I would definitely see him drop balls for the Texans then the Dolphins.

I dont think we would trade too much for Tate, RBs can come out of nowhere and also have their production vanish. Plus, we have Slaton.

I think Marshall is a Dolphin for a while and I dont see the Texans taking Marshall's contract along with Johnson's.

Well I was just trying to get an idea. There is no way you get Tate for just a 3rd. Tate for Marshall heads up might work out for both of us. I kind of wonder if you want Marshall (maybe I have the wrong impression) around your young QB. He seems to be a bit of a drama queen. This is a veteran team and Marshall knows he's not the man here. . Tate is a young guy with a lot of promise and its safe to say he can play at this level. Having Tate, in my opinion, allows you guys to use Bush the way he was meant to be used. He is a 3rd down back who you can throw in the slot occasionally. I think if the two teams work a deal out it works for both of us. You guys need a real RB and I would keep Marshall away from my young QB. Like I said, its just an idea.

Have fun with Slaton. He gained weight to try and become more sturdy and has been downhill since then. (NOT a downhill runner, just downhill). He has great vision and the ability to find the pile (look a yard left or right of the hole). I loved the guy his first year (bought a jersey) but since then it has been bad news.

Exactly...Why do you think we want Tate, when we have a potential stud in Daniel Thomas already? Marshall will only be traded for a pair of 2nd rounders AT THE LEAST.

I was being sarcastic.. but DT seems solid. Im sure the Fins could find another RB

as much as i advocated the move to get Marshall .... i would readily advocate moving him now.

nothing against him -- we just have enough WRs in the cupboard that we could 'afford' to let him go.

problem is ... we won't get much for him. be lucky to get a 2d and a late round pick.

we might get more for Hartline ... really .... but i'd rather keep him at this point than pay Brandon top $$$ for his skill set.

Heck, I'd give Houston a late draft pick just to take Marshall and his contract off our hands. The best Miami can hope for is a mid round pick, which I would gladly take for Marshall. He is a cancer that needs to go.

Trade marshall too the bears they don't have **** for wideouts on that team not to mention the cutler connection.Who knows maybe they would give up a first.

I know what my price would be, a 1st and a conditional 4th. You want to give us Tate, I'll take Tate and a 2nd.

We're talking about another Top 10 (arguably Top 5) WR and those guys are not easy to come by. I would want the Texans 1st in the hope we could land one of the many WRs that will be taken in the 1st next year.

Too high on Tate man. Also thinking the Dolphins need a RB more than they actually do. They believe in DT and it wouldnt' surprise me if the FO believed he had more potential than an injury prone Tate. You can keep him. If you want a Top 10 WR, you give up a 1st to get him, no less.

do you remember that we had a guy named daniel thomas that outgained tate when we played? i would be open to trading marshall, but the contract and compensation would never match up imo. he makes a lot of money and his value is very relative

High second for Marshall. Id give you a 3rd rounder for tate.

Sadly we need Marshall for the rest of the season so we can make sure we get in the LUCK pool! Marshall still has a few TD's to drop stopping us form winning! Imagine the predicament we would be in if he made those catches!

We got the SUCK part down now we wait for Luck!

why? thomas has looked great when he has played. hilliard can run the ball in spots and bush is the swing guy. use the 3rd rounder on a Guard

While you'll have some extreme fan opinions on Marshall, I think it's unlikely that he's moved unless it's part of a trade up to get Luck.
