Watching the installation of Timothy Dolan up here. His homily is remarkable. He's genial and charismatic. Truly hoping he can revitalize the church. During the procession, they were interviewing a priest and he said that there have only been 3 new Catholic priests ordained since January. I'm certain this is associated with the stigma of what has happened in the past with the church. The procession reminded me of when my dad was ordained a Deacon way before he died. It was truly his dream come true, coming from a Protestant background and marrying my mom and decided to convert to Catholicism because he loved my mom so much. Please share a prayer with me that he is successful in revitalizing the church and for outgoing Edward Cardinal Egan. Thanks all.
