gafinfanSupporterOPJim Taylor is a man I've come to know thru, of all things, my love of guns and shooting. Jim is one of the main stays at Leverguns.com. He and his wife have pull up stakes sold most everything and moved to Africa to do missionary work. To say he has impressed me with his comittment to do God's will is an understatement. With that being said I wanted to share this with all of you, enjoy. I want to say up front this is NOT meant to be a solicitation for him by me, do as your heart desires.

Empowering vs. Controlling
- we endeavor to be an empowering environment and work hard not to be controlling
- that means we will work with you to call out the destiny in you and empower you to reach your full potentia
- empowering carries honor and respect as its core values
- controlling has fear and punishment as its core valueOwnership
- you will never reach your full potential until you take responsibility for your own personal greatness
- as long as you perform so that you don’t disappoint others, or because you want to be seen as “spiritual” you haven’t taken responsibility for your own life
- we will never work harder to solve your problems than you do
- we will try to solve problems with you, but not for youRisk
- faith is spelled “R-I-S-K”
- if you want to grow, you must learn to take risks
- if you don’t fail once in a while, you are not taking enough risks (obviously we are not talking of moral or character failures)
- you should fail at least 3 times or you will not gain the experience of being humbled, of being honest, and of admitting you don’t know or understand it all (again, we are not speaking moral or character failures)
- when you are asked to do some exploit, we strongly desire you don’t declineSupernatural Power
- you are in an environment that expects the supernatural to happen … often
- you will find yourself in situations where if God doesn’t do a miracle, it won’t work out right. These are the time to press in and pray
- you will be expected to walk in the supernatural power of God. Get used to itHonesty
- we expect you to be honest no matter what it costs you
- trust is built on honestly and integrity
- trust is the foundation of all good relationshipsMind of Christ
- as a student of Christ you have the mind of Christ
- we want to help you learn how to think more than what to think|

OhiophinphanStaffI wish him well. What will he be doing there? Is he working with a particular group?
Our Church sends only technical support kind of folks now. The seminaries in Africa are mostly overflowing with locals who understand the culture and language better than we ever will. They still need professors, medical professionals, leaders in agriculture and the like. Guys like me who simply proclaim the Gospel?..they have enough of us we have largely found. Glad to see the indigenous Churches growing like that.
