A FATHER TIED UP & TASED A 23yo WHO SENT AN EXPLICIT PIC TO HIS 17yo DAUGHTER

PhinperorLuxury BoxOPA French Valley father suspected of tying up and using a stun gun on a 23-year-old man who sent his 17-year-old daughter an explicit cell phone picture was charged this week with multiple felonies.
Authorities say William Atwood Sr., 45, lured Justin Moore to his home, ordered him to strip down to his boxer shorts and assaulted him before turning him over to a sheriff's deputy.
Out of concern for his family's safety, Atwood told sheriff's officials, he fired a shotgun into the air. Atwood said he told Moore to take off his clothing and bound his wrists and ankles with zip ties.
When a deputy arrived, he found Moore behaving as if he were extremely frightened. Not only did he refuse to speak, but Moore also did not open his eyes for several minutes after the deputy arrived.
Later, at the station, Moore told a rather different story.
He said Atwood had called and asked him to come over to his house to discuss the photo. When Moore arrived, he said, the electric gate opened to reveal the 6-foot-2, 350-pound Atwood waiting for him in the driveway. Atwood was a few feet away when he fired the gun, Moore told authorities.
Atwood ordered Moore out of his car and, as he was walking, fired another shot. After he was tied up, Moore said, Atwood pulled him off the ground by his feet, injuring his shoulder.
Atwood told Moore he had connections with the Pechanga tribe and was going to have him buried on the reservation, court records say.
Moore said he believed that Atwood was going to kill him.
At some point, Atwood retrieved a handgun and a stun gun. He shocked Moore on the shoulder for about 20 seconds and asked him how he liked it, court records say.

rafaelForum VeteranIt's difficult to feel much anger against the father. He did commit several crimes, but it's clear that he never intended to really hurt the kid. My hope is that it ends up getting dismissed but I doubt it. My guess is that there will be a plea before trial that results in a felony conviction but no jail time.

Roman529New MemberI got that beat. I used to work for the sheriff's office here and part of my job was typing up police reports. This one guy called the SO to report that his girlfriend's mom beat him with a frying pan. The mom caught him in bed with ladies' daughter. I would have just let that go and not filed a report if I was the kid.
Dolphin1184New MemberI am a bit torn on this one. On one hand, if I have a daughter REGARDLESS of age, and I found out some ******* send him a picture of his crotch, I would taze the guy myself. However, I think it was a bit extreme to tie him up, take off his clothes, and torture him. Another thing, I find it disturbing on some of the comments of that article is that they call the 23 year old a "predator." An *******? Yes. A piece of **** perv loser? Yes. But since "To Catch a Predator", the word predator has been used so much that it is almost like its meaning goes away. This is a 17 year old girl, not a 12 year old or even a 14 year old.
All that said, I would have tazed his nuts off if it were my daughter. :up:

Personally, and this is just me, I don't care what my 17 year old daughter tells this 23 year old dude who is going to send a picture of his johnson from his cell phone to my daughter. It's about decisions and dude is making all the wrong ones start to finish.
And yea, I have a nice little conversation with little miss 17 year old as well.

I believe California's rule would mark anybody who had sex with somebody under 18 and was more than three years older than him/her a pedophile.

Two points to consider here; 1 this 23 yr old kid knew this girl and thought the idea of sending such a picture to a 17 yr old was ok or 2 this 23 yr old kid did not know this girl and chose to send her such a picture anyway. what on Earth is healthy about that? for 23 he is making some very bad choices in his life. If she was of consenting age and they had a relationship, then what they do with each other I don't care. But she is not of consenting age. He is. the thought that that would in any way be considered healthy in any society is beyond me.
For the record, I would do just about anything to protect my daughter, including the possibility of jail time.
