8 years ago today, a star was born. Our beloved Miami Dolphins were having the worst season in franchise history. In fact, it was one of the worst seasons in professional sports history. It was a time overflowing with anguish and sadness. Colors didn't exist anymore, only different shades of gray. The sun wasn't shining. The birds weren't singing. The children weren't smiling. Times were hard.

Then came that miraculous day. December 2nd, 2007. ThePhins.com was still a puppy at this point. Having only launched a few weeks prior. Being in the midst of a cold, winless season, this place needed a spark. It needed warmth. It needed a hero.

A hero arrived.

"Welcome to our newest member, Rocky Raccoon."

Prayers were answered that day, and ThePhins.com has lived in perpetual euphoria ever since.

Miracles really do happen.
