Not seeing it on NFL.com, CNN/SI.com. PFT is reporting it as a rumour. If its true well, thats life in the NFL. Alot of people will not agree with it and I am one of them but you just gotta assume the FO will make the right decisions and hope for the best. Yeah, you would think they would at least try to get some credible verification prior to reporting it. Of course, like any other news/media, they wanted to be the first to get the info out. If true, I hate the move. But.......what can we do. I hope he catches on somewhere and does well. Really like Beck.

 

Was just going to bring up that he practiced this morning and if he was going to be cut I would not think he would have been practicing. Maybe, I don't know.

 

I dont see the logic in cutting Beck. He's only played a couple games and is entering his second season. Give him some time to develope. We have Pennington now for leadership so I would think that would make McCown expendable. Why not trade McCown? I just don't think Beck got a fair shot here. Still haven't seen a link though so I hope this is just a rumor.

John Beck will find a new JOB I have zero doubts. Interesting to see if Balitmore makes a move for him now as he was Camerons pick and they are unsure of the future direction for that position. Would show what he really thinks of Beck..

I think Beck is destined to be a career backup in the NFL.. Nice, Smart Kid but it seems it won't be happening here!

Yeah, I have looked at a few sites and found nothing. 790 is talking like it is a done deal but continue to say they are working on confirmation.

On another note: I live in TN and never have listened to 790 before until this morning with this report coming out. I don't know what it is but something about that station/the people on the air, just irks me and I don't think I could listen to these guys very long.

Well, I think they should give him a few more preseason games, but I don't think it's stupid if they don't believe he has potential to be a good NFL starter. We do not want to coddle people who can't contribute...we've done that for far too long. They're the ones working him out, not me, and I have to trust their judgement of him.
That said, it's pretty obviously just a bogus rumor, so there's not really anything to argue about.

Only problem with 560 is that they have a non sports show from 10A - 2P.
Other than that their programming is much better than the 790 circus show.
