Hi guys so tomorrrow is FF Draft we are goin into our 12th season, pretty amazing for germans if you ask me but anyways here is my question i have the 4th overall pick RB get a point per catch and 1 point for every 10 yards who do you pick at 4 ? I dont think westbrook will slip to me so i have to chose between Jackson, Addai, Gore or Barber imo, Addai and Barber are not catching so many balls like gore and jackson but their offense overall is better so if you had to pick one of these 4 who would it be
Westbrook COULD fall. Don't entirely discount it. Some drafts go Tomlinson/Peterson/Brady. A lot of people would probably go with Steven Jackson at that spot, but I distrust his physical conditioning and overall ability to produce after his holdout, so I say Joseph Addai. 4 is too high for Gore and Barber.
i was in the exact same situation as you and took Jackson. 12 teams. PPR. 4th overall. #1 LT #2 AD #3 Westy #4 ME - Jackson
thanks guys if westbrooks slips no question i pick him and i dont think barber or gore are to high for 4th , i just wanna make sure with this high pick i pick a RB that also catches a lot of balls and addai and barber dont fit that mold, gore, jackson do
gore is not too high for 4, hes gonna have a monster year... but even still id take Addai there... but really you cant go wrong with any of them, though i wouldn't take barber that high
Safer pick is Addai but if you want to roll the dice and maybe find yourself a horse to ride into a championship then Jackson is your man.
As per our PM exchange Id go with jackson. Hes the 3rd best RB out there on a per game basis in the league and the other 2 ahead of him arent in the discussion. Overall hes ranked #2 on my board in spite of his holdout, as I trust him to produce. The Rams offense, so long as its healthy is always good with Bulger/Jackson/Holt. Addai is 2nd on that list unless westbrook falls.
Westbrook fell to my #4 so it's very possible. I'd go with Addai, Jackson, Gore, and then Barber in that order.
Jackson and never look back. Addai burned me badly late in the year when he began to share carries. With Rhodes back, Addai will get pulled out of the game quite a bit when things are looking good for the Colts. Jackson will keep producing whether ahead (ground) or behind (receptions). Often you must remember who the player is as well. When deciding between two players of similar FF projection I tend to go with the more talented one. It usually works out. Jackson is far more talented than Addai.
