I think it's just an excuse. Last season he had the ball ripped away against KC in Germany taken back for a TD. He can run like The Flash but he's soft.
The Dolphins didn’t sign Hill to be a receiver that goes up and compete for a ball against a DB. That’s not his skill set. He was signed to be that speed demon to catch a ball in stride and outrun everyone to the endzone. That’s Hill’s particular skill. Remember Deion Sanders? His skill was to use his speed, break on balls thrown the the outside, pick them off and hopefully return them for TDs. If you threw to the inside, Sanders sucked at defending passes because he couldn’t take hits…which is how Marino lit his a$$ up. Would Sanders be considered soft? Players have certain skill sets.
it kinda does not make sense really though. If you look at him he looks built like a tank. Should be hard to pull the ball away from him.
Dave Brown. If you know you know. That said, Sanders wasn't soft. He was a willing tackler, just didn't have much pop. 100% Diva though.
Great comparison although for me Deion was the better more complete player and a step above Tyreek Hill.
Wut? Lmao Well, Tyreek doesn’t play defense… so I guess Sandwrs was “more complete” but then you’d have to say he was more complete than any WR in the history of the NFL if they didn’t also play defense. In no way, shape, or form… or universe, is Sanders a better receiver than Tyreek.
That is exactly what you would tell him to do if you were the coach He is constantly playing through injuries and did so even when the season looked beyond lost
What are you going on about? He said Deion was a more complete player that Hill. In other words, he had more ways to make an impact on the game. Nothing about being a receiver.
So just what is he a “step above” Hill in? Playing defense? No ****. He’s also a step above Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, etc.
I think Deion is the better talent compared to Hill and the better and more complete player for his position. Are we good now, or do you have the urge to bark some more?
Until things change everyone has a right to continue complaining about the same things that don't change or improve, year after year. Don't blame the fans, blame the franchise.
Right dude. I don't see people telling Dark to talk about something new, even though he always brings up the oline. These problems have existed for decades, and I'm done acting like they don't exist. Doesn't matter the statistical improvements, if the same fundamental flaws that have prevented success in the past, continue to exist today, then my expectation is that we will continue to have the same lack of success. I'm some ways, I think that over reliance on stats for explanations and predictions leads into this situation. It's like Tiger Woods, when Tiger changed his initial swing, and started chasing being in the best positions in different parts of the swing, he was never the same. You get lost in things that aren't actually contributing to winning, but not understanding why. Like, "Our QB has hit X, Y, and Z numbers on Rating, Comp%, and Air Yards, yet we aren't scoring points and are losing games??" And instead of changing things, you depend on stat predictors, and just go nowhere.
lol Tell us you don’t understand what a stat is without telling us you don’t understand what a stat is.
It's up to the GM and HC to properly interpret stats. What is clear is that statistical analysis increases your competitive advantage if you do interpret them correctly, which is why the trend is towards greater utilization of it, not less. In our case, what we did right was understand that in the modern game it's primarily about passing efficiency, which means you need to prioritize QB, WR, DB, OT and DE. Grier and McD understand that. But understanding that alone isn't sufficient. You've got to hit on many picks — and in Grier's case the issue is missing on mid/low rounders too much — and the coach has to be able to gameplan and adapt. The problem is not over-reliance on stats in our case, it's not having good enough skill at drafting in the mid/low rounds, and not being good enough at game planning, including during the game.
I admire your patience. I have 5 children so you’d think I’d be able to show some patience with the absurdity around here, but some here are more frustrating than any 4 yr old I’ve ever been around.
I think one of the reasons I bring up the OL so often is due to fingers pointed at “this person” or “that person”.
In every string? Every week? You made your points 50x. You think that makes for a good experience on the board
