49ers file tampering charges against Jets over Crabtree

Muckretired_adminOPThe San Francisco 49ers, mired in a contract impasse with first-round draft pick Michael Crabtree, have filed tampering charges with the NFL against the New York Jets, the New York Daily News has reported, citing unnamed sources.
The Jets denied the allegations through a spokesman, the paper reported.
"We'll let the NFL figure that one out," Jets coach Rex Ryan said Monday on "Mike and Mike in the Morning" on ESPN Radio. "I think it's ridiculous, personally."
According to the Daily News, specifics of the allegations weren't known.
"I wish we were playing them," Ryan said of the 49ers.

The Jets have long wanted a big time WR. They've been mentioned in all of the 'big name' trade talks. I'm sure overtures have been made to Eugene Parker. Might be nothing out of the ordinary, but the Niners are obviously upset at something.
Make the throwback uniforms permanent!

rafaelforum_veteranMy guess is that the allegations would be that the Jets spoke with Parker and said or implied they would draft Crabtree in the 1st next year should he go back into the draft. Parker probably mentioned it during negotiations.
