Ran across this program and thought it looked like an outstanding way to breathe new life into older Windows Systems: http://madotate.en.softonic.com/
Getting closer to the Johnny Mnemonic system, Padre...
Well Bro, I'd think you would appreciate this simply because one of my hobbbies/obsessions is that Americans, or really anyone, are overmarketed into believing the newest/fastest/most expensive equipment is what is needed at all times, so when I see things such as this, along with Revolutions Pack 9 and KernelEX, I see old equipment that can easily be used...right now...for less then 40 bucks for 1 GHZ to 700 mhz and 500 mb to 256 mb. I've messed around with Linux and tbh, do not really like it, so the old Win stuff 98/2k intrigues me a bit as the sort of M$ lite option. w2k Pro is especially interesting as 99% of the stuff that runs on XP will run on W2K and theoritically one "upgrade" disk could produce hundreds of cheap laptops. Now somewhere around here I think there are some XP Cd's from the mysterious Far East that for some reason, error code and skip the need for a keycode..la lastima...
Thanks Padre, this is kinda fun. I don't know if it's any more efficient than plain old tabs, but I certainly feel cooler...
Object dock is kinda nice as well: http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/ Only works in XP though, not W2K.
Nice, you could Run=msconfig=add programs=madotate=reboot and it launches automatically on startup. Or startup organizer: http://download.cnet.com/StartUp-Organizer/3000-2124_4-24061.html Or http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/Winstep-Start-Menu-Organizer.shtml (freeware) And Aero Mouse Cursors are really useful as the usual Win "arrow" pointer can be rather slow:
