Listen, the PS3 has a blu-ray. It will soon take the top of the gaming world like it was destined to... Just like the PS2.
360 sales spiked to around the same levels when Tales of Vesperia came out. It's a one-time deal for Microsoft; one game the Japanese are likely to buy, one week on top of the sales charts. So all Microsoft has to do is release 52 of these games every year.
The only Wii games I've bought are Wii Play (I know, not a real game), Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Brawl. There are a few others I would buy but not for $50
I think the Wii's killer app is the Virtual Console, which is kind of sad when you think about it. Plus, I already own the carts of almost every old game I care to play, which means I can legally emulate the things. Gives me less incentive to shell out for a Virtual Console version, especially when a) my PC is hooked up to my 32'' HDTV, and b) graphics filters in emulators make the games look far better than they do on the VC. Sometimes I really regret buying a Wii.
I'll be more impressed if they can at least keep it at 10k+ for the next few weeks. Then maybe there is something, but yah even for a week being the #1 dog is a miracle for Microsoft.
I have every console ever made. I even play my Odyseey every day and have a PC that makes Big blue look like a Pack Man watch. But now for the next 250 posts, I am going to bash every current gen console. Did I say every current gen console? Well I ment every current gen console execept for the one that I actually have. You know the one that I turned into a golden fallace that I pledge my fanboydom to every day? Yea that one.
