Hat tip to Movethesticks.com for posting this study of the players who were highly drafted but then quickly released since 2007:

How funny, besides 3 Dolphins being on the list, 28% of the #2 picks from 2007 are no longer with the teams that drafted them, 37% of the #3 picks from 2007 are no longer with the team that drafted them.

Which would mean A) Boldin for a #3 pick is a no brainer B)Early Draft picks are over valued.

It also means that there is alot of highly drafted talent floating around the NFL, those players all have good measurables in 07 but for whatever reason they just have not done anything in the NFL in the 3 season window.

And it also speaks to either poor scouting or poor player development or poor understanding of a teams systems and what is required in draftees in order to fit into the teams schemes.

was listening to the radio yesterday (dont recall the show) and they were talking about the Fins possibly giving up a 2nd round pick for Bolden. IMO, with our needs that would be a huge mistake.

    2006 3rd round:

Offhand, Hagan, David Thomas, R butler is a Texan, Ditto D Pittman, Willie Reid, Travis Wilson,Jon Alston, A Schlegel, Brian Calhoun, Leonard Pope, Paul McQuistan, Abdul Hodge, Claude Wroten, Charles Spencer...all are no longer with the teams that drafted them.

or 14 out of 33 picks, and most of the remainder of players are backups.

    2006 second round:
