Just drove back from a place an hour or two east of Pittsburgh and it hadn't started snowing yet. This was at 9AM EST. That being said, it was a to-the-bone cold and it was not sunny at all. The local forecast here has it coming down in the middle of the afternoon, which, if the weather was coming from the west, would mean it will be hitting Heinz Field right when the game starts. It was not very windy though, so it might just be some bigass snowflakes that fall. The real **** is supposed to happen later tonight, probably dinner time and afterwards, where it's supposed to be sleet and freezing rain. The game should be over by then.
Sounds like nice football weather to me. I don't want to hear about how this team can't get it done in the cold anymore. If that's the case they need to start pumping artificial snow and cold air into their practice bubble this time of year.
I remember some erspected copach/TV analyst saying snow should actually HELP the passing game in that when the WRs make their breaks, the CBs cannot make quick cuts to follow them. It's easier to lead in snow than to follow, basically. GO PHINS!!!!!! Woohoo! Just learned we are having some older friends of my in laws coming over during game time. That TV is staying on, dammit!
