In reality we have no picks, no cap space and, we're in 3rd place in the division. We have issues with the defense which might be better if Flores were still here. Offense is fun to watch though.
That's a load of crap. The cap is mostly a myth as teams continue to prove, we waste our picks for the most part anyway and we're only in third place because Tua had a concussion.
Keyshawn Johnson and Chris Canty were the loudest and proudest of Tua's haters in the offseason. They both laughed at the Dolphins for getting Hill.
I went into this season thinking Miami would be the KING OF YAC! It turns out they are the king of 10+ yard throws.
It’s like building a house. You can have all the fancy lines and decorative windows and beautiful double front doors…but if the foundation is weak, you’re going to have problems. The offensive line has played very well these last few weeks and as a result, Tua has had the time to shine…Wilson and Moestert have had the holes to run through and shine. If only the same could be said about our inconsistent defense. It’s utterly amazing how you can have all 11 starters along with the defensive staff from last year return and the defense has done a 180
This is why I base my opinion on my own judgments and not those of some overpaid know it all. Most times they don’t know what they think they know
A bit about our offensive line in the link. Also, while I didn't see the Cleveland game, only the highlights, hearing the pops on contact from Wilson and Mostert was something we have been missing forever. Physical running is a necessity to keep defenses honest. https://www.yahoo.com/news/opponents-learning-miami-dolphins-offensive-211143628.html
For some reason, I believe a healthy Byron Jones would have put our defense in the top-10. Not because he's that much of a stud, but because our secondary threw the entire balance of the defense off. Having another starter-quality CB would have been huge. It'll be interesting to see how he's handled in the offseason.
I doubt he’s a Fin for very long once the season ends. I read a quote from either Madison or Surtain about Jones to the effect that “some guys fight through injuries to get back out there and some guys don’t.” Doesn’t sound like a guy they are too high on.
If he would have gotten surgery after week one, there would be about a thousand less posts on this forum, other than a few criticisms of Chris Grier.
Kind of an odd move - you’d think he might leave the NFL for the college ranks for a coordinator position, but not as a db coach. Hope that doesn’t mean that Boyer is staying…
There’s not many on that list I’d keep. Needham, Mostert, Little or Shell for depth, Sherfield. Maybe Wilson depending on their plans for the position and how much he’s looking for.
