You can't call the shots here how you'd like. We've always done it this process. 2k5 will make his pick. We start it in July for a reason. If you want to help in any form, feel free... do not make executive decisions for me. BK's pick is invalid. I would delete it but I don't have the power to do so.
Ill delete it but then why even have a time restraint. Thats silly. Dude on damn near double the time limit. If youre going to make a rule, at least semi enforce it. I mean its not 5 or 10 minutes late, its 18 hours late. I get stuff happens, but be considerate?
Additionally i will say i didnt mean to undermine your role as commish GIK, so for that im sorry. But i do see it as inconsiderate. Unless someones dead or dying god forbid, 95% of us have smartphones. Say something came up.
but maybe he just didn't know he's on the clock. Did the GM with the 5th pick PM him to let him know he's up?
There was never a rule in place. It's always been a "pick when you can" type thing. I'll reach out to Rob again, I'm sure something got in the way. I am pretty positive that we'll be done with this draft before the Hall of Fame game. People are a little quicker to make their picks in round 2-3 when they aren't trying to make a trade.
For some reason i always remembered it as a 24 hour limit. I do find the wait frustrating but i do apologize to anyone my behavior affected.
Damn guys, we've got plenty of time. Mat reached out to me on FB a couple times, so no fault on his end. Had a couple busy days at work and since I'm not on the forums often anymore I didn't even know the draft had started until I was on the clock and got the FB message. So I haven't done any research and wanted to spend a couple mins looking into things since, you know, we don't get a ton of picks in a dynasty league. That's one of the reasons I offered it for trade. I am sorry for the delay, and it is inconsiderate, but stuff comes up. I haven't looked at whatever pick was made, so that has no bearing on my decision. Will post shortly. Thanks Mat for the patience.
Wonder if Smoking Gum thinks he's made his pick? I would think he would stay with whom he drafted before the confusion but not sure.
