The craziness of today's college football. West Virginia is averaging 33 points a game, and thats good enough to be better than only Kansas and Iowa St in the "Big 12". Their defense, which is pretty porous and has allowed 21 a game, is third best.

I'm flat out shocked that my Mountaineers went down to Texas Tech and beat the crap out of them yesterday. At 5-0, with Kansas and Iowa St still on the schedule, I'm almost to the point where I believe that could win 10 games this season.
Ohio State still controls their own destiny to the playoff. Although the way they have looked the past few weeks beating Michigan seems far fetched.
That michigan game will be interesting but here's one thing that needs to be certain... If Ohio State wins that game and Washington is undefeated and wins the Pac-12, Michigan should not go to the playoffs, period.. I do not want to see the Huskies get snubbed just to have both Michigan and Ohio State in.. washington could very well be the best team in the country aside from Alabama..

I can't wait for the day that the playoff is actually eight, or even sixteen teams, and these late season games matter for more than a handful of teams. My Mountaineers are 8-1, but basically have no shot at getting in. Since the Big 12's bowl contracts are embarassingly awful, if they don't win out and make it to the Sugar Bowl, the best they can probably hope for is the Alamo Bowl, even at 10-2.
