So why not just hand them out and let the remaining pick from what is left. Well don't hand out Dolphins obviously.
I agree it's a lot of fun to build up a bad team, but I also have fun taking a solid/good team and putting them over the top. If you have a lot of talent on your team, it means people are going to want to trade with you. I was Houston last year and got to make a ton of trades. IMO, the moves I made took them from a perennial good, but not great team and made them a SB contender.
Oh I agree, thats usually my strategy. Take a good team and make them the best in the league. I was just looking at a few teams (notably Seahawks and 49ers) and there teams are just loaded with star players on rookie salaries, and in the 49ers case loaded with picks too. For me to vote for whoever takes on those types of teams need put together an amazing team to get my vote, not just a good team. Some of which have done it in the past. Todd was on pace last year to destroy everyone with the 9ers.

Even though I was kidding in my OP, and know that you're kidding, I really almost took a look at your top 10 teams to think of potential deals with my top 10. That's how bored I am at work right now, and how ready I am to start the GM league.
Honestly I say pass out teams and let the final people just pick from the remaining, first come first serve. Even if we have to scout other boards.

I have no idea who ill get. I'm obviously hoping for my #1 and any other team is really pretty far down in my list, but ill be happy with anyone.
With Nappy removing Eagles from his list, looks like I will probably get them. No one else has them in the top 2 on their list. Who wants to trade for a QB with a sub $1mil contract with a higher passer rating then Peyton Manning?

Was filled in 3 days last year. I've upped the prize thread and I've reached out to maybe increase that pool. Really rock out those incentives this year. Anyone good with sig graphics? I'll wear a GML advertisement in my sig if someone makes up a decent one.

What is the plan with coaches (# of college/retired coaches, OC and DC, etc.)? I know we've had some different rules about that in the past. Will you be deciding that, or is that something you want to put to a vote? I know, I had fun being able to name a OC and DC.
I'm thinking of doing it the same as usual... here's the rules from last year (below). Notice college coaches could not be hired last year. IIRC in previous years we had a nomination process on college coaches. Should we do that again or just keep it to pro only?
