so much for draft "steal" of the year DJ Hayden... this little problem he had last year is going to linger like a fart in a sauna.

The surgery was related to the previous surgery, but not the injury. It's essentially a non issue with it being scar tissue. I still rather we drafted something other than a DB, but he should be fine.

I'm not sure I'd call the 27th best QB rating, the 22nd best Y/A score, and a negative TD:INT ratio good.

JaMarcus Russell could throw 80 yards while kneeling down.

We could never tell what direction it was going to go but 80 yards, man!

When Davone Bess and Anthony Fasano are the teams 2nd and 3rd best targets theres a serious problem with the weapons around him not the QB. Tannehill has improvements to make, particularly in his footwork but thats about all thats holding him back from being a top 10 QB in the league....maybe better.

Jason Campbell had less to work with and posted better numbers, and he's Jason Campbell. I dunno man, Tanny's got skill and potential for sure, but watching him a bit last year, and not being vested in the outcome, he looked like an ordinary rook.

I know an ordinary rook...Tannehill isnt ordinary. His lack of stats directly correlate to his footwork (accuracy and ball placement) and his lack of weapons. Campbell didnt deal with the footwork issue. Plus Ive never felt Campbell was a bad QB, he just holds it too long at times and takes too many sacks because of it. If youre going to hold the ball as long as he does you need to have the awareness level and release of a Kurt Warner or Marino or Eli Manning. But thats what makes those guys not Jason Campbell.
