Beyond Good & Evil 2 is coming out for the next generation of consoles. Nintendo will launch next year, but I’m guessing Microsoft and Sony won’t have anything to show until E3 next year, and won’t release until 2013. Slight chance Sony shows off the PS4 at TGS Autumn, I guess. Don’t see it, but it’s possible.

FF13-2 full trailer. Looks intriguing enough, but for a game coming out this year they really aren’t very forthcoming with details about what the hell is going on. I guess they’re saving that for TGS Autumn.

New SimCity would rock, I loved those games lol, I blew so many hours on those and the Zoo Tycoon games ... SWTOR cinematic was great, but that is what cinematics do. For some reason the Halo4 teaser is not playing for me anywhere. MW3 looks great personally. Watched a demo with NYC rooftop fighting, there are some amazing possibilities and gameplay opportunity if they can properly pull off vertical fighting - not just level by level, but fighting people above you, below you, etc. The Mass Effect 3 Kinect functionality I saw on G4 was intriguing - voice commands for your squad movement and abilities, as well as Kinect control of your character to some degree. Option stuff, but as the Kinect advances we could really see some good stuff. Really looking forward to more ME3, that series kicks so much ***. Just hope to god they come up with something better than the scanning in 2 and the randomly driving around half empty planets exploring in 1. The Star Wars Kinect game looked a bit more cartoony than gritty/realistic, but may be a fun, lighter fare.

What!? Total dick move. I can't count the number of people at another message board who cited those two games as big reasons why they were holding on to the wii, and saying how good games were still coming out for it.
Well, supposedly a voice actor confirmed that Xenoblade is coming out here, and Last Story is coming to the EU. But both games were absent from E3. So either Nintendo is just not going to market them and will release them out of the blue, or they aren’t coming. Reggie Fils-Aime hates RPGs. He confirmed this in interviews (though he didn’t say “hate”, he just thinks there’s no market for them, which is the same thing) and he followed up by refusing to bring out Mother 3.
Nintendo releases full list of first party games for the rest of the year, announces that they hate me. I don’t know why I should reward Nintendo by getting Skyward Sword and the Wii U if they won’t even put out the two games I want even as Christmas filler. Anyone want to buy a lightly used Wii, two Wiimotes, and a classic controller along with one or two disc games and some Virtual Console downloads? $200 and it’s yours.

Kotaku has a really good writeup on FF13-2. I’m cautiously optimistic about the game. Would like to interrupt this quote and point out that the writer is confused. FF13-2 has two worlds, the “real” world and the “dead” world. Lightning somehow gets transported or stuck in the “dead” world without anyone in the “real” world knowing what happened to her. So people have assumed that she’s just dead. Given that she’s in the “dead” world, it’s not really inaccurate, just an incomplete description. Anyway…
