Well now, that is that, 2010 Combine is done. Who impressed? Who underperformed? For me on the impress list: Owens from UGA Geno Atkins from UGA Jamar Chaney from MSU Arthur Moats JMU JPP from USF Jacoby Ford Clemson Klavell Conner Clemson Chris Cook VaTech Chad Jones LSU Kam Chancellor VaTech Dennis Pitta BYU Underperformed Myron Rolle Segio Kindle Terry Cody Mike Williams Syracuse..dude needed a good 3 days Micah Johnson KY George Selvie USF Greg Hardy MS Joe Haden Florida Thoughts? Feel free to add your own players to the list.
I would have liked to see McClain and Bryant work out. That was the biggest dissapointment of the combine
Ben Tate had to be on the impress list for me. Same for Ryan Mathews. Dwyer disappointed me, even though I didn't think he did bad, I just expected better. Clay Harbor had to be an impress too.
The one guy who surprised me negatively was Dexter McCluster running mid 4.5's...I was certain he would be down in the low 4.4 high 4.3 range.
If I rated players on a 1 -100 scale, i would deduct 5 points for anyone not participating. I understand why they don't but at the same time, it is the NFL teams that are writing their paychecks and thus should be privileged to any info available to aid in their choices.
1 guy I keep finding on the list of the linebacker drills is Jamar Chaney. LB from Mississippi St. I never saw him play. Does anyone know anything about this guy? A cursory google search gets some info and chatter on other boards and it appears the guy is a weight room junkie and I think a 4 year starter. 2 qualities that this regime really appreciates, but the question I have is simple. Can the guy play? Could he be a solution at SOLB. He is projected as a 5th-6th rounder.
After watching a little on you tube, the guy can play. He is a little small and we know how Parcells and Co. have their prototype sizes they like for different positions. Then again they do like the multi year starters and the gym rat guys too. His size would explain his projected draft location, I guess.
