My brother coaches for a football organization here, on their junior team(ages 16-18(i think)) they had a girl on the team a few years back. If i remember correctly she was a linebacker too. she started too if i recall. She was good too, all the guys were thrilled by her play, as were coaches. Unfortunately for her she hurt her knee in her second season... Now she is usually a part of the refereeing crew for the games. I don't think theres any reason why they shouldnt let this girl play. if thats what she wants to do, and theres nothing against it, then why the heck not. theyre kids. let them have fun
why is this a debate.....women belong in the kitchen.....no waiver needed to cook my steak medium rare......
But what if you want to cook your own steak? Do you need a special waiver to apply for entry into the kitchen? Can you be on the same team? You know, you grill the steaks while she bakes the potatos?
is there a girls tackle league in the area where the girl lives? if not she should be allowed to play.
Is there a girls football team? No... right? So no, no individual should be barred from playing a sport based purely gender, either way.
If you want to allow men into the womans league, it cant be called the LPGA or WNBA anymore. You will have to call it the PPGA or PNBA... The Pansies' Professional Golfers association or Pansies' National Basketball Association.
Until the boys can play in the Girls leagues, no, they should be banned. Make your own womens Football team. Isn't there a women's professional Football league anyway? Join that. Wait for that. Wish I could've stepped on the court in a Women's Basketball game back in the day in High School.
