$ 200 million in public funding will go towards the stadium. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/e...bleroof-stadium-gets-public-funds-green-light
If they are smart, they will build the first stadium ever to have intimidation built right into the specs.
Which means they'll be getting a Super Bowl around 2018 or so. Honestly, anybody can 'do it'. Just a question of whether it's smart. Personally I think the economic impact is overstated. Still public financing of private property at its core.
Wish I could get half a million to renovate my sandwich shop. Feeds tens of people a day and hundreds a month. Tens of thousands a year. Why shouldn't my sandwich shop get any money?
I'd like half a mil to renovate my house. Surrounding property values would surely rise. And I'd promise to throw a block party once every few years. I don't benefit from the block parties, honest. Except for the parking, cover charge, concession, advertising, etc. How about it?
