Well thats the theory of the author of this article which examines how Nolan's attacking type of defense could be implemented. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d818a68f8&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true I would hardly call it that since Dansby is a genuine star with a big contract to boot but anyway its an interesting article to read .
I really like this possibility. 37 is a player who can be a perennial pro-bowler every year in the right scheme. Hell, even in our past schemes he's been making tackles and running people down every down.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves... New Defensive Coordinator, Rookies all over the place this is going to take some time.. I dont honestly see us in the top 10 this season.. Not a downer but it takes time to GEL... We have ALOT of rookies, or year 2 starters in KEY positions and glarring hole in the secondary to still fill..
Ah, here's the clip [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8Pr_Vp2pls"]YouTube- Yeremiah Bell Breaks Up Screen[/ame] Hello backfield
yes I agree younger faster, but less experience.. Still takes a year or two to get it together with younger players
Oh sure, but I also think our passrush will be good from the nickel rush line of Wake/Starks/Odrick/Merling or Anderson, that should take some pressure off of the secondary. The odd thing was, Wake only averaged about 10 snaps per game (167 for the full season), Nolan will get him on the field more.
i expect Wake and Dansby to be household names (outside of DOLPHIN NATION) ... Dansby in some respects already is -- and Wake with a 2d good year as a pass rusher will be as well. i see no reason why this defense can't be top 10 ... the only 'rookies' that could earn starting roles are Odrick and Misi ...
