Definitely not. I’m firmly in the 6-8 win camp for this season. Our key losses (Quinn, Wake and James) are going to be negated by a better...
Watch his college film videos that I posted. He was a lot more decisive in college. He may just need some time to adjust to the NFL game speed.
Looking at some of Rosen's college film analyses on youtube.. here are some of the videos I found: [MEDIA] [MEDIA] [MEDIA] [MEDIA] [MEDIA]
So you’re saying that on a list with guys like Mayfield, Murray and Tua, you have Rosen on top? To each, their own, I guess.
I know no one wants to hear this, but I don’t think it’s impossible for us to win 6-8 games this upcoming season. We’re going to have a young and...

It may be the play of the season by Cutler so far.
Refs 7- Dolphins 6
Don't want to sound too pessimistic, but looks like this time the Patriots will score 7 on us.
Our 6 point lead won't last for long if we can't score TD's
Hope they stay quiet in their caves tonight.
Or not.
Welp, seems like the Patriots woke up now.
Obligatory 2nd and long run
Both Gase and Burke are being pretty creative in their play calling so far tonight.
Gase didn't seem so friendly towards Joseph... did something go down last year between them?
Credit where it's due... great throw by Cutler.
Ajayi likely gets tackled behind the line on that play.
Passer rating while throwing to Parker goes down even more lol.
Two ****ty teams duking it out.
Anyone who says we miss Ajayi and that him being gone is the reason we aren't winning is either blind or has an agenda.
Ball looks like it's moving before touching the ground to me.
Cutler is a terrible deep ball thrower.
Typical Dolphins... when the pressure is off and the season is all but over, we destroy the other team. :chuckle:
Ugly celebration by Thomas LOL
Drake's looking pretty good today, despite everything else.
Wow, this sucks, wasted opportunity.
What a boring game

As soon as Moore goes in, Stills comes alive. Cutler just doesn't seem to have chemistry with Stills.

At first I thought it we didn't make the first down. That side camera view clearly showed we passed the first down marker. Terrible officiating.

Dave Hyde just said on twitter that the franchise record for penalties in a game is 18... we've already got 15, getting close.

RT's deep ball >>>>> Cutler's deep ball
Both offense and defense suck. This game is going to end up something like 45-7. Pathetic.
Is stills related to Brian Hartline btw? Guy can't take 2 steps without slipping and falling.

Now we're gonna give up a TD
Thanks Cutler :smackhead:

You're arguing that it was a bad trade... you aren't saying it directly but all your posts regarding Ajayi and jabs at Gase point to it.
My problem with Parker is that he isn't consistent. He makes a big play here and there but rarely ever dominates games like a true number 1 WR...
Let me ask you a few questions: 1) Do you think Ajayi was the reason the Eagles won that game? 2) Was he even a top 5 reason they won that game?...
Our RBs looked much better without Ajayi last night, TBH. It might not be solely because of Ajayi, but there's no denying it was probably the best...

Absolutely agree that the officiating played its part in the outcome, though I'm not sure we would've stopped the Raiders even if they had not...
This loss boils down to two plays: 1) The Drake fumble deep in Raiders territory in the 2nd quarter. 2) The Landry hold that wiped out that huge...
Some really bad calls against us today.
Nice catch Parker, but too little too late I'm afraid. Still waiting for him to show up at critical times when the game is still within reach......
Welp, there goes another primetime game that we lose.
Even if we do I'm not sure our offense can score, unfortunately.
****, scared of what happened to Suh there
Suh's a beast!
Really frustrating
Ajayi is sort of boom or bust, IMO. He'll have a couple of huge runs and a few that he'll get negative yardage. We haven't had many positive runs...
Offense actually looks half competent out there. Defense not so much...
Exactly. Now, if our running game gets worse (if that is even possible), then yes we can start to say it may have been a mistake.

Crappy game so far... the offense sucks, the defense is playing surprisingly well so far, IMO. Oh, and the officiating has been terrible.
Agreed with all of this. I'd like to throw in one observation, though. I think we've become a little spoiled with Tannehill's very accurate...
Besides the things you mentioned, it was also Cutler's first real game in a Dolphins uni, I expect him to get better as the season progresses....

Even if Moore wins these last few games and makes the playoffs I don't think there will be a QB controversy, at least in Adam Gase's mind. Maybe...
Crazy that in the offseason we were calling this one of the weakest units on the team.
He was pretty much our best cornerback in the weeks that he played. Granted, Maxwell has gotten better since then... but IMO, he'll be at least...
You're right, if KC loses just one game and Raiders win out, NE drops to number 2. If it's the Raiders that lose one, though, between the Chiefs...
I've thought Cam Newton was overrated as well, but I've changed my mind over the past year or so. The thing is Newton is not a traditional QB......
I think it's pretty much a lock for the number 1 if they win the next two. Even if both the Raiders and Chiefs win their next three and the Pats...
Because wins aren't solely on the QB, but I think you'd know that after being on this site for however long you've been. Fact of the matter is,...
Read the title and immediately thought "why would Dan Campbell be apologizing to Tannehill?" :chuckle:
Spill the beans already! Or is it classified Club information I suppose? :laughy:
I think he was QB coach, not OC.
All real fans are happy when their team wins regardless of the QB who is playing. I hope Matt Moore can lead us to the playoffs and I'm sure every...
You think saying a 7th round rookie is better than him isn't bashing? LOL
I responded to your post saying you don't think Tannehill is God like some others do. I'm not even talking about Matt Moore. You go out of your...
I'm surprised you haven't suggested we should go ahead and put Doughty in against the Jets, since, you know, he's better than Tannehill. :p
They don't know yet, it'll probably depend on how his rehab goes. Knowing how Gase likes to deal with injuries, I'd guess- barring a miracle...

[MEDIA] [MEDIA]
[MEDIA] [MEDIA] [MEDIA] [MEDIA] [MEDIA]
I saw his press conference this past week, your conclusions are off base, IMO. He said he should have been more aggressive in the Ravens game...
What has Gase been saying that led you to that conclusion?
I hope this isn't the case but I think we'll end up 9-7 with the win vs the Jets. But maybe Moore surprises us, who knows...
On a more optimistic note, if we do make the playoffs with Moore, that'll say a lot about our Head Coach. If that happens I think Gase is hands...
[MEDIA] [MEDIA] Wow, Wallace just gained some respect from me, he at least seems to acknowledge that he was overpaid. :chuckle:
Tannehill is having the best season of his career right now, without Wallace. And no, I do not believe it would be better if he were on the team....
If Gase truly practices what he preaches about giving guys a clean slate, it'll definitely be the former.
Honestly, IMO, it's way more about what the output of the whole offense is, not what one player can do. Wallace didn't mesh with Tannehill and was...
Great post. Agree with pretty much everything you said. Tannehill was not without his faults when he came in the league, so we shouldn't pretend...
Aside from that, he has suspect hands, does a mediocre job of tracking the ball in the air, and also does not really attack and high point the...
It's not an aside though, it has more to do with the thread title than the Suh arguments. :chuckle:
Realized that right after I posted. :wink2:
You sure the playoff machine is already working? It isn't working for me and saw a lot of comments from people who said the same thing.
Didn't know it was working already for the 2016 season. Thanks for the heads up!
Don't know if true. If Denver wins we'll be tied 5-3 with KC for the conference record. Next tiebreaker is common games (minimum of four) and I...
This is new to me too. Always thought Lazor was an arrogant prick, but never thought he would say this type of stuff.
The Ravens game is the one I'm most scared of, especially if we are missing OL starters. They are a top 5 defense in points per game and overall...
We played: - one of the best defenses in the league - in their house - under rain - missing 3 OL starters and won our 5th game in a row. It...
Yeah, I just think he had more reason to be cautious with the media on his first day on the job than today, the day after a win that brought him...
Coach Adam Gase had a conviction that he could win with Tannehill and that he could be a quality quarterback. Gase was asked Monday when he...
His passer rating will get there, IMO. We know he takes care of the ball and commits few turnovers. He's also always been pretty good in the red...
Nope, but IMO, it's easier than finding an elite top 5 QB... and even then having an elite QB does not mean you'll win a Super Bowl, just ask...
I hope not either, but you can't deny the fact that teams do this. It's a rule set in the league and they have to comply, even if the minority...
This may happen, but I think now that we may finally have our coach, system and culture set for the next 15-20+ years, it's more likely we ride...
Interviewing a guy and hiring him are two different things. Especially since he is a minority coach and teams must fulfill the Rooney Rule. I have...
As for the confession. I've always been a pro-Tannehill guy but wavered on him early this season... well, so far he is proving me and many others...
You should post that list of debunked anti-Tannehill arguments again, add "can't put team on his back" and "isn't clutch" to it.
Doubt Joseph leaves next year. Has that ever even happened? Position coach to head coach in a span of two years? I think teams are going to want...
Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer, you're saying Ryan Tannehill can't be as good as these guys? Having a top 5 QB may be the...
Sorry but myself and most others strongly disagree with this. QB is ONE PIECE of the puzzle, one cog in a powerful, smooth running engine. If...
I think Omar said it meant "Strain to finish".
Wasn't he also supposed to have lost the past three games according to some? I thought he "needed 200 yard games from Ajayi to win".
Yup. Better than Aaron Rodgers (10), tied with Cam Newton (12) and one behind Luck (13).
Saw something on Twitter about him maybe practicing next week (Ravens game week). The coaches like to have a player practicing for a full week and...
This is being severely overlooked by some people. Passing game takes a huge toll when it's raining. Seemed like in the 4th quarter it stopped...
Love this quote as well:
On his deep 39-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Stills, Tannehill made a throw that not many quarterbacks in the NFL are capable of making. It...
MonstBlitz, as much as I understand your point of view, I think this team has been playing on a level quite above what they've shown in the recent...
There's some good and some bad, IMO. Starting with the bad, I think this gives their offense some renewed hope. Their players may play a little...
Tannehill's always been an afterthought since coming into the league. Problem is he came in a draft with Luck, Wilson and RGIII, and they all were...
Highly unlikely. And with the way the AFC West has been playing, I think we'll have to get to 11-5 to make the wild card, which means going 6-1...
Guess what, guys? That was our 9th game and RT played lights out. There's reason to believe he will continue playing at a similar level throughout...
They're tied for 5th against the pass and 9th against the run per attempt/carry , which IMO, is a little more accurate than yards per game. This...
And check out this stat: 10 YPA from Tannehill today. 10. Wow. Can't throw deep right? :chuckle: By the way, he was tied for 7th in the league...
And guess what? We're still afterthoughts in the media it seems. No mention of our win in the top headlines of NFL.com and ESPN.com, only if you...
Offense needs to start playing. Defense has done an okay job so far considering they're facing one of the highest scoring offenses in the league.
We're not going to win like this
Shooting ourselves in the foot
We won't hold Philip Rivers much longer, IMO, can't waste these oportunities.
Wouldn't that make it even more of a mortuary? :oldtoker:
Agreed. I think if we need to pass the ball to win the game (obviously without completely abandoning the run) we still can, we just haven't really...
By the way, as of right now it looks like we're the 7th seed based on win percentage, behind Oakland and Denver.
Hopefully by then our defense will also be healthier with Culliver, Benwikere and possibly Howard coming back.
I'd be happy if they went 1-1 these next two games. Going 2-0 on the road on the west coast is no easy feat. If we do split these west coast...
This might be the perfect game to try a good dose of read option runs. I think the Jets are going to be so focused on stopping Ajayi that they'll...
Thought it was just happening to me
Do I think he can upgrade his post-snap processing time a bit? Sure. Do I think it's his biggest weakness or even one weakness that is keeping...
To me, Tannehill had a good first half save for a couple of bad decisions where he tucked the ball and ran when he could've have maybe stayed in...
IMO, a bad QB would have lost this game for us despite the 200 yards rushing.
I've been guilty of criticizing Tannehill during the Browns-Titans stretch of games, but I've mantained my reasons. To me, Tannehill's biggest...
Some of you guys are acting as if Tannehill didn't complete an awesome backshoulder throw to Stills to put the game away. Or that he didn't...
It's not a rumor, Christensen said this in his press conference, though I wish he didn't. One (small) gripe I have with this coaching staff is...
Great point
I think this season is going to be a lot like the 2013 season. IMO, we're going to be in position to make the playoffs if we win something like...
Didn't catch Tannehill's post game PC, but saw something on twitter that suggested he mentioned it was underthrown on purpose.
While I do think Tannehill's deep ball has improved over the years, he was nowhere near as bad as most people were saying during the Wallace...
Since we're talking about Mike Wallace, I thought this quote might belong here:...
High celing vs high floor is not really what I'm talking about. You can have a high floor and not be smart, tough and have a strong work ethic......
I thought Tannehill had a pretty good game, he kept the offense running smoothly except for a few times in the end zone. He had some good 3rd down...
Check this out http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/91716773-132.html Landry said this last week of practice the coaches forced Jay...
They played well today. They haven't been for most of the season, same goes with the offense. Not really ready to say they are underrated, they...
Pathetic that the only play they showed was the Heyward-Bey TD and only talked about Big Ben being injured, nothing else.
He posted this back in September. Since then I think his views have changed, he even started a thread apologizing saying that he was wrong about...
Maybe it's not the barrier, but something is amiss with the culture of the Miami Dolphins organization. You need to change the culture. How you...
IMO, the culture encompassing this organization is what makes these players feel like they don't need to push themselves. For whatever reason...
I think Tannehill these past games is slow to react to pressure and isn't being very decisive... he's also trusting his OL too much and staying in...
This locking on thing you're talking about is being overblown, especially early in his career. Tannehill would regularly have games where he would...
I'm guessing this offense is more complex to the point where everyone needs to be on top of their assignments, and if not, it just doesn't work....
Which is why I included the "eye test" part. I think it would be foolish to let him go if he significantly improved both statistically and clearly...
I think if he shows us consistency over the course of the season we can keep him for next season. By consistency I mean something like a 95+ QB...
Thing is he doesn't sense pressure when it does exist, or he senses it too late...that is his main flaw right now.
I think he's getting better coaching now, but 4 years of bad habits isn't easy to break out of in just a few months.
I think you're right. One thing he does is that he almost always pats the ball right before throwing, but a lot of QB's do this as well. Is it...
One thing I'm amazed by is how often Tannehill's passes get batted down at the LOS, he has to hold some type of record for this since 2012, anyone...
Agreed. Anything less than something like an 8-4 record, a 95+ QB rating and a 2:1 TD to interception ratio I think won't be enough.
Maybe we didn't ruin him but we sure as heck didn't help him.
This is probably the first time that I really soured on Tannehill. Last season I got close to souring on him in the beginning of the season, but...
Tannehill was playing well the first two games, I really thought he had turned a corner. Obviously this loss isn't all on him, but it's going to...
AJ Green was expected to play well against us, as he does against most teams. The defense has played relatively well this game all things...
Why do we always play so badly on primetime games? Is it a mental thing? Our players can't handle the spotlight?
Wrong thread guys, this one is from 2013
Today they can safely use the "defense got tired" excuse.
Bend-don't-break defense is in full effect. If the offense could just get a couple of TD's we could make this game interesting.
Defense doing its job today, let's hope the offense wakes up in the second like it has been doing these past few games.
More like Damien Williams and Drake.. reports are coming out that Williams is the starter today, and I think Drake will get more touches than Ajayi.
