I don't agree with them all but Jason Taylor making a top 10 list thats good stuff. I only see three defensive players. I would pick Peyton Manning over Tom Brady as my QB any day. Might be the fact i bleed aqua tho.

Not sure the list or the order are completely correct but i will agree that JT belongs in the top 10 for sure.

Once again the Fins get boned... This list is stupid without Jay Fiedler.

no Rich Gannon. I thought he was solid this decade. The Raiders should of won 3 Superbowl had it not been for The Goose hurting Gannon shoulder in the playoffs, the Refs vs. the Pats, Al Davis shipping Gruden to TB

At first glance this list appears to be seriously QB heavy. 5 out of 10 selected were QBs. I can't believe there's no love for the secondary (Ed Reed, Charles Woodson, Champ Bailey) or for the offensive line (Orlando Pace, Jonathan Ogden). I am surprised that they went with a TE over a WR (Moss).

    Mcnaab?

List is flawed in may ways although nice to see JT get some love.

I was watching Inside the NFL on Showtime last night and they were picking the best players at their position in the past decade and Warren Sapp, Chris Collinsworth and Phil Simms all picked Dwight Freeny as the best pass rusher.

I thought it was ridiculous to pick him over guys like Strahan and Taylor.

Replace Mcnabb with Reed, and Warner for Moss. Maybe Favre for TO.

Manning hasn't been clutch in the playoffs and the one year they win it, he played like ****. No that isn't a cuss word, just four asterisks.:pointlol:

Brady is clutch. Manning has not been. Brady doesn't have super gaudy numbers, although the one year they load him up with weapons he has one of the greatest seasons ever. Despite having an "off year" and Peyton having an awesome year their numbers are oh so similar. Crazy isn't it?

Tom Brady's numbers aren't much better than Manning's numbers in the playoffs. They're pretty close, actually. Just because the media made it seem like Manning hasn't been clutch doesn't mean it's true. Btw, Manning has the last superbowl between the two. And he did it without the help of cheating. Just sayin.

Oh, and as for career stats, it isn't even close. Manning clearly has the upper hand on that one. So I would say Brady as the number one player in the last decade is wrong.

Also, I don't know who is saying Brady is having an off year. You're the first person I've heard say that.

No not media. Me following football every year. You do realize that the rule change with DBs and WRs and contact after 5 yards is because of Manning losing once again in the playoffs (to the Patriots of all teams) and then the insistent whining he did after. Another year, after losing out he threw his offensive line under the bus. He's a flat out whiner and maybe that's why I can't stand the guy. No doubt he has better stats, and I would never argue otherwise. But if you're choosing top 10 players you balance stats with superbowl wins and play, leadership on the field etc. It's not one or the other.

Oh, and when Tom brady got loaded up with weapons he had a monster season. Manning has always had weapons, Brady has not. Tom's best year is better than Manning's best year. Before Welker and Moss, his receivers never approached the weapons Manning has. I hope for Brady's demise every single day but it just isn't happeniing, and I think he's the better QB. Even in their super bowl loss, they needed a score with 5 minutes left. He marches them down and they score. I have no such confidence in Manning.

Apparently the only position that matters in the NFL is apparently QB.
I don't understand why we don't trot 11 QBs out on the field every play!
    We can't lose!
