starter switch used to be on the floor next to the gas pedal.. had to mash it with the side of your foot, and use the rest to massage the gas padal to make it go.

My 1st car was a 1972 Pinto station wagon I had more fun in that car then a little. I had more money in the stereo system then what my folks paid for the car. I got 13 people in it one night. Had 9 in my next car a 74 camero.

 

I ordered the Mirror (full assembly) from a Mercedes replacement shop in California for $271 shipped. It comes in the factory black, so I need to get it painted. Monday or Tuesday she'll be back to her former glory.

I still think you should buy some street-facing cameras. Heck, you can buy dummy cameras with functioning LEDs that look like real cameras. That alone would deter most thieves.

hell yeah man... ULTIMATE sleeper. i purposely got it for that very reason.

 

I had a turd brown 1981 Datsun 210 hatchback. It was a total POS. Can't say I really miss it.

 

My first car was a 1983 Chevy Caprise Classic. a true hooptee.
This things would skid out in any kind of ice.
Any kind of bump, the metal, and believe me it was all metal, would hit the concrete.
In the winter, the only way to start the car was to stick a pencil in the carbeourator and slam on the gas while in park and then rev the engine for like 10 minutes.

But it was a tank too. I got hit by a Chevy Blazer going 40 and I was making a turn at around 15mph. Got hit right in the door. All I had was some little indent in my door, no one hurt. This dude had to pick his engine up off the floor. And his air bags deployed. And he had a concussion.

Overall it was like a much uglier version of the car shaft drove in the movie but who needs airbags when your car's like superman.

The 94 taurus was my second car. I got that when my hooptee caught fire coming off the highway that was right by the community college I was attending at the time...and since it was during finals week, I just told the officer to tow it since the towing would cost me more then it was worth

My first car was a 1977 Mustang II. 3 months after I bought it I blew the motor. I got ripped off big time BUT I was able to sell the wheels and tires (centerlines) for more then I paid for the vehicle so it kind of worked out in the end...LOL!

interesting the guy across the street put his fence in backwards so that the folks he was looking to keep out have a handy ladder to get in...

 

1987 Toyota Pick-Up. Looked like a piece of ****, but ran for about 100,000 miles. Luckily I went to High School where none of the kids had nice cars so I didnt get picked on too much.

mine was a 1978 *in my best Ricardo Montalbon voice* Chrysler Cordoba. had a 360 in it but i could never get it to run very well at high speeds. my second was a 1982 Mustang GT. loved that car.
