Yeah, I'm done with college coaches, former coordinators and Jimmy Johnsons buddies I'd like a marque coach.
I have been saying and alot have been disagreeing, but I want not be surprise is Wayne trys to bring in Garrett or the OC from the Pats. Nobody has mentioned Charlie Weis
Hire Parcells as team president (he wants to be a front office type) and let him sort out the whole, ugly mess.
Parcells as a GM or President does not excite me as much as Parcells the head coach excites me. I know he is aging and from reports I've read he seems more interested in GM work, however we know his track record as a coach is great as soley a GM thats a great unknown one I'm not sure I'd go with. If you could get Parcells motivated to take one last job for say 4 0r 5 years(I dont even know his age so that maybe to long I dont know) however if he was committed to this job he would certainly return this franchise back to respectability and maybe with some luck the playoffs. He has done it every place he has been. I am not much into trying out unknown commodities so with the failure of Cameron I'd say go for something know as we speak we know that Cowher,Parcells,Schottenhiemer are all free come seasons end there could be more proven HC available just to name a few that appear to be on the hotseat........ John Fox,Tom Coughlin, and Mike Shannahan so while the options seem limited now come 3more weeks the landscape of potential replacements could get very interesting and for me I want a coach who has proven he can win so a sucessful background would be a must for me.
I really despise that guy after calling the desperate time out. That's my only opinion of Rex Ryan, and it will never change if NE manages 19-0. My sleep pattern and overall mood would be completely different if that moron just stopped thinking for a few seconds. I hate that more than anything in a coach, out thinking a situation. That's when you get nonsense like the twirling halfback pass from Ronnie on the 2-point play last year. Ryan had his guys well prepared for that offense and they were eager to stuff that 4th down play. So was the crowd, in an outright frenzy. It was sheer stupidity to think you could surrender those aspects and have a net gain by somehow changing what you wanted to do.
The light in the NFL shines too bright. He called the time out because it was 4th and 1 and he had one defensive tackle on the field. He would be killed by someone for letting them stay in the defense if they converted 4th and 1. Rex Ryan did his job last week. That is all he can do. As for him being our next head coach, I'd like to see him be a head coach SOMEWHERE before he coaches this mess. He has never coached the other side of the ball. Never!
What about him? We're stuck with what we got. Who in their right mind would want to come into this mess?
