Which I think SOME of our coaches felt the same way. Never can be sure, but it was very obvious we were not in that game from the start. While most of that falls on the players, some has to go to the coaches.

Chris Martin committed to Cal. Strong leaving def swayed him Luc committed to FSU when everyone was saying Charlie was gone. Luc had a great relationship with Strong. Might get a couple of new recruits this week. Jordan Hicks is enrolling early so he could be very soon as well. I will keep you guys posted.

Skeet....do not morn the loss of Luc IMHO...sometimes you win by losing....Luc has a great body but he physically overmatched everyone on the schedule and if you look at some of the tapes of other players and not the Luc highlight tape you can see he is really lacking in some agility and his feet look like two star feet at times...he is also never going to be a standout ILB because he does not change direction or get off blocks well enough inside...so I am almost certain he is a SAM...even though you probably have a five star bust that you could force to play inside...

He will make some absolute killer hits and can run down the line and shut down cut backs but he is very limited in what he can do at the next level IMHO..... IMHO he is pigeonholed into being an early down Sam LB and if you (FSU) play him there then you would moving Bradham to Will which is not his natural position IMHO (he is also a SAM)...but IMO Brasdham will make a much better Will than Luc will make a SAM.

Personally you know I am a Cane fan and I look at this as bad news...I was hoping UF would waste a scholly on a five star bust......................good news for UF in my view......

I do agree with u. I was hoping to get him but I think he is almost topped out. I doubt his game gets much better than it is right now. He is only a MLB which Jon Bostic has locked down. I really want Hicks!!!! Gator are still up for alot of top guys and I think they will close very strong

Gators got a commitment from Robert Clark today. He is a WR from Dywer and 1 of 3 recruits from that school headed to Florda. Clark is 5-10 and around 170. He was committed WVU but when Gators made a push for him it pushed WV out of the picture.

any chance of playing early? Does not have size, so I am guessing a speedster?

He has good speed and size is a concern. I think he will redshirt. However I think Patton will play as a true freshman. Patton has great straight line speed, But I am interesred to see his route running. Chris Dunkley is a guy that might also be a Gator and I definetly think he will play as a true freshman. I will post some numbers for you later when I get home.

Dunkley and Clark are a good match if that happens....Dunkley is a bigger straight line type guy with some size and good hands, runs come backs and sits pretty well and will catch the ball inside the hash, IMHO a guy that plays best in space and uncovered .... Clark is more a slot guy and very quick in and out of breaks, changes direction well and runs well after the catch....both pretty good players IMHO....but I am not sure it a slam Dunkley on Dunkley yet........................

it will be a negative recruiting effect, how negative depends on the guy they bring in. Stoopes is the most obvious name and should be top of the list.

I don't see why Spurrier hasn't been linked to the job. You know he can do the job and sort of put Florida on the map. He's got a good 5-7 years in him still.

Spurrier will never work for Foley again. They had a falling out, it was rumored that is why he never came back to UF the first time.

Spurrier, got pissed because Foley required him to go through the same interview process as any other coaching candidate would have to do. Spurrier, got insulted and went to USCe instead. I'm glad he did. I like USCe.

OMG what a game. That was an amazing effort by the whole entire team. No way Cincy was prepared to play this game tho. Cincy was a great match-up for the Gators. Great Game and Great season.

I hated Spurrier. Without the great players you get here he is nothing. Meyer could win anywhere with anyone.

Really? While I think Steve is a pompus *** myself no one wins without good/great players imho.

I must also give my tip of the hat to Tim, what a great way to end your college career. Talk about turnaround; if the Jags are smart Tim will come off the board the minute they pick in the first round!

Chris Dunkley commits to the Gator!!! Woo Great fit at WR for this team. No shock at all

    Chris Dunkley
Dominique Easley commits to Florida!!!! Gator fans will know his name very quickly when he gets on campus. He dominated in practice all week long and than dominated in the game. Easley was named MVP for his team which won the game. Easley was previously committed to Penn State and than reopened his recruitment up, But only had Miami, Penn State, and Oregon as possible destinations. However from listening to him he was always a Gator.

    Dominque Easley

I just wanna show you how dominate the Future Gators defense was in this game.

    Jonathan Dowling S - 2 Ints
Demar Dorsey S (Fastest recruit in country 4.25)- 1 Int
    Josh Shaw - 1 Int
Dominique Easley DE/DT- 1 Forced Fumble 1 Fumble Recovery 1 Sack 2 TFL and a ton of pressure!

That makes very little sense regarding why he didn't win a MAC title, considering he won a WAC title.

They also have a very friendly to the program administration. They have a very high number of "exceptions" that pass the clearinghouse but cannot meet school requirements that are taken anyway. I am not saying that is good or bad it gives some kids a chance to succeed that some have really taken advantage of that you will never hear about...it also can lead to a lot of thuggish behavior that idiots such as myself will make jokes about at every possible opportunity....it is what it is.

This group looks to have a very high level of classroom qualification to be fair.

I met Spurrier on multiple occasions....I love Spurrier.....he may not be the most politically correct guy around but he is what he is and makes no bones about it and he showed tremendous respect for others that had served UF asnd he is a Gator wherever he goes .. Meyer cannot hold Spurrier's jock in terms of class, being respectful and professionalism.......they are way different people IMHO.

That is true....but at least Spurrier is honest...even at public functions .... Meyer lies and/or insults people purposely every time he opens his mouth. Meyer seems to think his poop smells like lilac and he wants to let everyone know immediately that he is somehow "better" than they are.

Despite the predictions even those of our own gurus who thought Gator receivers would never made good pro WRs ,Percy Harvin has won the
NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

    http://www.gatorsports.com/article/...TORSFOOTBALL?Title=Harvin-wins-Rookie-of-Year

I cant say I am surprised .In fact I expected he would be a top candidate when he was drafted.Congratulations to Percy .
I am sure he has a bright future in the NFL

I am only disappointed we could not move up to draft him.I am pretty sure we had him in our sights .He is the kind of playmaker we desperately need .
