Ok, I know there is a bunch of these out already but I thought this one was a little different. Let me know what you think: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolp...oosports-nfl-playoffs-scenario-generator.html
New England hosting Miami. Ya that's what it's called... I think New England wins against Jacksonville and then plomps down a takes a poo-poo against Houston in the final week. We're in all likeliness facing Cinncinnati if we make it.
The Patriots will win this week at home against Jacksonville, so essentially if the Steelers win one then we are essentially looking at round zero of the playoffs against Pittsburg in week 17. Of course, we have to win this week as well but I'm feeling confident that Miami will be ready for a brawl come Sunday and win convincingly.
Irrelevant almost. Their tiebreaker will mean nothing. NFL.com completely picked against us this Sunday.
If we do actually make the playoffs, which team would you rather travel to face in the first round? NE or Cincy?
I would have to say ne , Cincy is playing really good ball but then again there going through the death of there team mate.
i would rather face CIN (the death of Chris Henry will be draining on them the rest of the way) [sad situation] .... unless of course, NE gets dinged up on defense over the next 2 weeks .... both of us face good competition in JAX, HOU & PIT .... so not one easy game between the 4 ... we will not blow out HOU this week ... we haven't figured that one out just yet - and Andre and their TE are going to abuse us to keep it close.
I was thinking Cinncinnati but they may be the stronger team. We'll see how the Patriots come out of the last two weeks. Make no mistake they aren't 100% and if they were to experience some kind of derailment from the double threat of Moss-Welker they'd be in major trouble. If we face them again I hope Jason Allen gets a shot against Welker and uses the bump at the line effectively. They're vulnerable, I have no doubt about that.
I would say let's go to New England, only because there is a lot of pride at stake playing them and it is usually when we play some of our best football. Besides, it is difficult to brag about winning the division if your division rival boots you out of the playoffs one week in. In essense, if we beat NE we become the unofficial AFC East champs once again.
Just the scenario I wanted...and talked about a few weeks ago.... I want to go to Foxborro, and beat the Pats and send them home packing from the playoffs. What better statement to make that WE are the new beast of the East...and not only are we going to rip the playoff hearts out of you...we are going to keep you from the AFC Eastern Championship for quite awhile starting next season. Get ready to watch the Wild Card races NE...cuz thats what your gonna be relegated to!!!!!
Definitely Cincinnati. Their offense is a mess right now outside of Cedric Benson. You can get pressure off the edges against them and Carson Palmer is not the same Carson Palmer of 2005 and 2006. Defensively, I'd be worried because their corners, Jonathan Joseph and Leon Hall, are very good - probably the best young tandem in the game. Their LBs are all fast and athletic and they can go 4 deep with Brandon Johnson coming in the game. But I'd rather face a Cincinnati team that's tailing off than have to face the Patriots a third time.
we haven't 'blown' anyone out this year .... (you could call the 1st BUF game is suppose) ... so, not likely that we'd start doing it now - unless TOs made it that way. does anyone really need a top TE to give us problems ..... Bell keeps trying, but isn't exactly successful - and our ILBs ought not even waste the effort .... i didn't know that Daniels was out .... Daniels is actually pretty good.
