Do we have enough members to start a proper petition?

I don't know about you guys, but I just can nnot get over the overtime loss yesterday. It was possibly the best our Fins have looked all season on both sides of the ball and the officiating was absolutely horrible. After rewatching the game there were at least twelve obvious roughing the passer hits on Henne including on the Camarillo penalty. There were shoves on both sides well past the 5 yard buffer, and Miami had at least three offensive plays that should have been fairly obvious pass interference calls (including Ricky's touchdown attempt). There was no whistle when Taylor stripped the ball and took off for the endzone, which is all that should have mattered on that play. The Camarillo penalty speaks for itself...it was a game ender that could have been reviewed by the booth in overtime (but could not be officially challenged by Miami). Not to mention defensive holding by a lineman...OMG...what is that?

We see bad calls like this each and every week in the NFL, just not this plentiful in one particular game. To top off the atrocious display of favoritism watch the replay of the Titan's bench after the winning field goal was kicked...you actually see a ref begin to celebrate right next to Fox on the sideline. Ochocinco gave up 20 grand for a silly joke with a dollar, but refs can dance around when their team wins in overtime? Come on....

So I was thinking of writing a formal petition highlighting several of the horrible calls against the Fins and get you guys to digitally sign it. Of course it would take a little work gathering the video evidence and tracking down officials names and such, and I would accuse that repetitive poor calls (and no-calls) virtually handed the game to Tennessee and eliminated Miami from the playoff race. Once we have enough names to call it legitimate, I have some media influence that can get us some page hits to make our frustrations known and hopefully create a snowball effect.

Before I invest the time and effort, I wanted to see what you guys thought.

dude.....refs suck every once in awhile.....but we tried every way to lose. take the "L" and move on. we beat ourselves.

For the "Door Prize" how many gray hairs does the ref in the photo have on his head? (Including mustache and beard...)?

I've no doubt that we have the ability to make our frustrations known. But then what?....
There will be no do over, nor anything else that will make a difference in the W-L columns.
The NFL knows that sometimes there are blown/missed calls. They will say "we do our best, we take it seriously; thanks for your concern"
    ....nothing more.
I know your heart is in the right place. But no amount of buzz is going to change what has already happened.

No offense man, but don't waste your time. If you would get everything together and sent it in, it would just fall on deaf ears.

The fact of the matter is we lost the game. Yes, some calls may have been questionable, but we lost the game. There was no real game changing call that determined the outcome. Calls go both ways.

I am reading this post as a diehard Dolphins fan, and I see it as sour grapes. Imagine what the NFL bass would think.

    DO IT.

    Seriously, do it.

If you truely believe that you saw what you saw then do it as bringing this crap up will only HELP the NFL realize that they need to be on top of the refs. (and to those smart asses among you, NO the NFL doesnt not 'realize' this already as this crap happens every week in every game and its getting ridiculous already - they might say they realize it and are doing their best but actions speak louder than words)

This year has been so bad even I am wondering if I am watching fixed games or not.

Don't do it and the NFL will stay status quo because after all if no one complains then I guess every thing is A-OK.

I like the idea of a petition!.

A petition for the team to bring back Zach, and retire him properly.
    As a Dolphins.
With a future induction of Ring of Honor.

True and Good words my friend. We had so many chances in the 1st half to produce points. I blame the play calling in the beginning of the second half for the horrible 3rd quarter we played. We came out running the same screen/shuffle passes that weren't working for us in the 1st 2 quarters of that game.

Little to do with conspiracy theories. More to do with the fact that the refs can be god-awful when they chose to. No one seems to care.

Your heart is in the right place, and from all accounts I've read it was a blown call, but unfortunately it happens in the NFL.

The seriously unfortunate thing is that it is impossible to officiate perfectly, and while it looks like we had two penalties this year that caused us to lose the games, if we were playing well it shouldn't have been that close in the first place.

At the end of the day, one single blown call should not be able to affect the outcome of a football game. That falls on the team's shoulders. There could have just as easily been a call they made against the Titans that ended up giving us the ball back and caused is to score. It just so happens they botched the one against us, so we're the ones upset, not the Titans fans.

Either way, the only one you can blame for a loss like that is our team.

Just suck it up as a fan, and realize that some things are out of your control :)

One single blown call shouldn't determine the outcome of certain games, but sometimes it does.

Sorry dude, but I'll always back the officials. Players and coaches make a hell've a lot more mistakes then the officials. We as fans will see a replay 15 different times and 15 different angles where the officials get one shot at a split second play. Officials make the right call over 95% of the time.

    Get over it.
