I don't know why you have gone from being someone for whom I had respect, to trollish behavior. Accusing me of illegal drug use now is the culmination of your transformation.

I've pointed out to you something that practically every member on this board knows, about Wannstedt's vision for the Dolphins. For some reason, you've chosen to ignore what is, in fact, a FACT - and to do so, you resort to insults.

If I point out that you are ignoring reality - a reality with which Miami Dolphins fans are well-acquainted - that is not an insult to you, any more than saying that you are ignorant of a certain fact is saying that you're a generally ignorant person...although your recent posts do lend credence to the latter.

I'm done with you, Adam; you and the others who attempt to equate mob mentality and gang rule with "team loyalty."

I have my opinions, and I'll state them as is my right here.

And you go ahead and continue to post your petty, needlessly escalatory comments.

But don't expect that I'll continue to engage you or others like you; you've slipped from the realm of opinion and discourse to just responding, whether you really have an argument or not, just to respond.

You add nothing now, and in fact, subtract from the enjoyment of this community with your pettiness.

    Discussion? Yes.

    Opinions? Absolutely.

But petty, baseless arguments about facts, established or tangible?

    **** that.

You're not looking at it right tho, adam.

BOTH QB's were supposed to be "game managers".......

    Running game

    Great Defense

    Game Manager QB

That was the Ravens and the model which Wanny went by.....true story

you're not getting my point either. you need a QB which I already stated. Fiedler was a complete disaster. the reason the ravens were able to win with dilfer was because he had an arm that could burn teams deep. fiedler couldnt burn you deep therefore he was a complete bust as a duplicate of the ravens plan. you dont replace an arm with a noodle and expect the same results. i mean its wannstedt so he probably did expect the same results

Before halftime, drew bress would disagree with you sir.
And plax had 11 recpetion for 150 + yards vs atop 5 corner in the league.
he had the game winning TD.
They would not be there without plax

this whole Ginn thing and WR vs defense is bringing out the worst in people. I am defending my position on this board for page after page of lightly veiled insults so if I take "Now I understand why your take on reality is as off as it is on Ginn." as just another in a long line oif insults and its not meant to be I apologize but quite frankly I dont buy that it wasnt an insult and I will return veiled insults with veiled insults. if it wasnt meant to be then I apologize, if it was meant to be then I dont

I swear this is the absolute last time I ask this, but exactly when does Ginn become a bust?
I have had conversations first in Finheaven the day he was picked, and they haven't stopped to this day.
It is ALWAYS somebody elses fault that Ginn hasn't emerged or arrived.
As far as WR, the kid just flat out doesn't get it!!!
He didn't after one year, and he hasn't progressed after 3.
Hartline is not surpassing Camarillo, but Ginn
Camarillo will still see signifigant time at WR, I don't think Ginn will.

    2000 season:

    Fielder: 14 TD's, a long of 61 yds, 6.7 yds/attempt

    Dilfer: 12 TD's, a long of 59 yds, 6.6 yds/attempt

Stronger arm?.......yeah but he did nothing with it

He wasn't expected to win games, he was expected not to lose them.

Which was what Wanny wanted from JF........only difference was that the Ravens D was one of the best of all time that year and could win games basically on it's own.

what wanny wanted was irrelevant. he was an idiot. its what he brought. he wanted a ravens team but brought in a completely different type of QB. Yes a game manager type but a midget mobile noodle arm QB vs a tall, big, strong arm pocket passer. he wanted a ravens team but ran a 4-3 defense rather than a 3-4 defense.

what wannstedt "said" he wanted and what he actually produced were two entirely different teams and to say or imply that one successful model is made irrelevant because some clown cant duplicate it but says he wants to, just doesnt seem right to me

he's close  your time is near azfin  as for ginn not emerging that is ginn's fault and noone else's. could he be used more often or better ....yes but he has had opportunities where if he capitalized he couldve forced the issue. instead in too many circumstances he has literlally dropped the ball lol. still, the reality is you cant cut or get rid of ginn unless you replace his speed. you need one sub 4.4 guy and unless we get one we arent dropping him. i think he has one more year. 2011 is loaded with receiver prospects. i dont see any reason to reach this year when in 2011 we can get a gamebreaker with a 2nd round pick. this year we should take advantage of the edge rushers avaialble and DTs and I think we can get some decent TEs throughout the draft

Last year, Ginn had 60 catches for 800 yards. Sure, he regressed this season. But you give a player that put up stats like that in his second year one more chance to redeem themselves. If not, then you rid of them and call them busts.

OK fine, let's throw that out then........

Now, look at all the current top teams in this league. Go to the rosters of the Colts, Saints, Chargers, Vikings, Pats, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants and Cardinals.....

Big time passing games, big play receivers........ALL of the top teams have those.

He amassed that yardage the same way he held onto the number one WR spot for so long.....by default.

He scored twice as a WR last year.....once so far this year. I'm pretty sure we can get by with out him. Meaning, what are we really losing?

Speed? Get a street FA track star/WR and put him on the practice squad.....same result and much cheaper

but thats a one year anamoly. consider that last year the steelers and ravens met in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP and the Ravens were ranked 28th by passing yds and the Steelers were ranked 17th. Both were in the bottom half. So unless the game changed this year specifically I dont see the trend you speak of. But lets take a look at the defenses which is what I believe wins championships.

Last year the Steelers, Ravens and Eagles were 1,2 and 3rd ranked by yards. Cardinals were the exception (#19) and almost pulled it off but in the end failed. Simialr by points but Cards were much worse (#28). and that with one of the greatest receiving crews you will ever see still lost because their defnse failed

This year Bengals, Broncos, Colts, Ravens, Cowboys, Patriots, Viu kings and Packers are all top 10 defenses by points and the Colts fall out if you use yards.

It seems that passing offense is statistically irrelevant to winning a SB in comparison while defense is paramount. Since both sides need to be fixed I think those that want a WR need to make the case why we should overlook defnse.

Yes we might be able to address both butone needs priorities and with the emergence of Hartline I would put WR behind OLB, ILB, NT, TE and possibly FS although i have faith that Clemons might become that guy

No, it isn't a one year anomaly, it's evolution of the game.

As far as priorities? It depends on what's available.......I don't want to reach out of need and pass up a great player at another position of need. However, there are different ways to acquire players. What we can't get in the draft, we get in FA or vice versa.

You add a big play making WR to this offense and it would blow up......you don't? And our chances of competing with the top teams will continue to be as they are....

Are you kidding me? You're actually trying to make an excuse for Ginn's production last season. Why can't you just admit that he a good season last year and helped us make the playoffs. Why is it so hard? WHat has he ever done to you to make you hate him so much?

Oh, I think the real question is, what exactly has he done to keep getting these chances.
As was already stated, it has pretty much been by default.
He is now being SERIOUSLY outplayed by 2 UDFA's and a 4th rounder many suggested wouldn't make the squad.
AND that's only the guys on our team outplaying him.
Bottomline, as a WR, he sucks!
His days in Miami ate numbered, and that is a very small number IMHO

well obviously it would be great to get every position we need upgraded. inwould love to get a killer NT, ILB, OLB, FS, TE and playmaking WR with a RB and OL thrown in. Ther likelihood is we are ghoing to have to make choices so my take is defense first. Your take is playmaking WR first right?

Question, why would an offense that is ranked 14th in points scored take priority over a defense ranked 24th in points scored? I just dont understand why a unit that is seemingly further along is a priority over a weak unit. Wouldnt you want to see our defense get into the top ten since that is where the biggest correlation to playoffs and SuperBowls occurs?

Better numbers than those got Chambers chased out of town and hailed as a bust......

And stop trying to dismiss it as something personal. I've made it clear several times that I have no problem with Ginn the person. He seems like a good guy....I just want him replaced with a good WR.

I already told you why. Last season, he caught 60 passes for 800 yards. That was in his second season. Yes, he has regressed this season. But don't take away that solid second season from him. I don't care how he did it, he did it. And the FO might look at that season as him showing he can be a good receiver, and keep him around for another year.

It's easier my way for one.......

I'm asking for one, maybe two players to try make our offense among the best

How many do we need to make the defense among the best? Like 4 or 5?

It's a lot easier for a high powered offense to cover up the deficiencies of a defense, than vice versa....

Just give me my big play scoring threat and the rest of the draft/FA is yours to do as you wish.......see how generous I am? :shifty:

the flaw you have is 20th ranked defenses usually dont win SUPER BOWLS. Just ask the Saints, Texans and Cardinals. you can have your big play scoring threat in the 7th round after i get my linebackers. i am not unreasonable after all :wink2:

out of curiosity, realistically what WR do you want? Do you think we can get one in the draft? and if so who do you think is that playmaker you envison being the savior

JS, What player are you asking for? Jackson and Marshall are sure to be signed. Boldin, the only elite receiver on the market, is an injury prone player. If you want to draft Dez Bryant, good luck with that. He is the only receiver in this draft, IMO, that can come in and contribute right away. Others like Tate, Benn or Gilyard may take time to develop. And that is something we already have.

Defense, however, is a different story. Free Agency will have some very good linebackers we could sign. Also, this draft has some players like Spikes, Mcclain, Cody, Odrick, and Edds, to name a few, that fit this team perfectly. You move this defense up from 24th in scoring to say 15ish, and I guarantee you we are leading the divison/wild card.

Well if our only option is Boldin, then I go after him....however, there will likely be players available for the right price.

And if I needed to give up multiple picks or a big pay day to get the WR we need, I do it. It's that important...

I don't want to draft a WR unless we fail to get one in FA.....too risky, takes too long to develop them.

I wouldn't touch Boldin. Would cost too many picks, and he wants a big contract. The only way we can get that big time #1 receiver is to draft Bryant.

I really believe that WR and ILB are the two positions where we need to make our biggest free agent signings.

And I mean BIG - Boldin and the like or better.

Two would help the team even more.

T offense payed like **** and made a game of it at the end.
Ginn is not this teams' problem. what about Smith and Davis you want to call out a ***** look at Smith.
