We fought. We faced adversity. We overcame adversity. We scored 18 points when our season was on the line. All the great QB's have had games like this.. I remember Peyton throwing INT's like crazy, getting hit and coming out with more confidence week after week. Henne is the real deal. He is going to be a superstar.. He needs to face some adversity.... He will learn from this. He will get better. I am so proud of this team right now. What a gritty performance to fight back like that with EVERYTHING on the line.. Too bad the stinking, scumbag, f**kface refs had to give Ten the game with the BS call.. Let's take a minute to remember how far we have come this year.. And how close we will be next year. The Miami Dolphins will be contending for homefield advantage next year at this time.
We didn't lose. We made mistakes and got beat by an inferior team. We will come out strong next year. This team is headed for great things. Our QB is the real deal
Inferior my *** that team is garbage we turned it over like 5 times we played so soft on defense its pathetic im ashamed to be a dolphins fan what a waste of a winning streak who called those plays neway in ot u needed 6 yards and u throw for 20 lol real smart
So on third and six you send everyone to the first down marker and have them turn around? yeah, real smart.
We had the ball how many times in the red zone? Our D was stopping them cold. Even Johnson got stopped.. We are the better team. We probably win 7 -8 times out of 10 against these Titans.
given they were kicking our *** id say they are the better team. their o line is sick. not saying we didn't have **** ups but when you turn the ball over that makes you a bad team.
I'm not too proud of Henne today. He's been a Qb plenty long enough to know better than throw that last pass, and the one where he was in the grasp. I like him fine but there is no excuse for some of the bad ones today. Young Qb or not, and he best learn from it.....
Anyone who isn't happy with our team today or somehow ashamed by that performance can feel free to leave. This team fought hard, all the way to the end. We have a resilient team and I'm proud of them, two things I can't say about the fan base.
listen i dont have time to sit here and go back and forth all i know is that would have been 1 of the sickest comebacks ive witnessed personally and i changed the channel once it was picked. u just cant do that...if i was calling plays i woulda threw a nice deep ball like the 1 hartline amazingly carralled on 1st down get it over the 50 asap dont let henne think about the situation and he just i mean come on did a miami receiver even have a chance at that last throw? it was rediculous and makes me want to never trust henne again thats like 1 of the worst throws in nfl history
I am proud of them for fighting back, I really am. But I would be even prouder if they had gotten ahead 24-6, then scored a couple more touchdowns just to be sure.
I mean to make matters worse the condiition im in right now from staying up 35 hours straight now cause i couldnt sleep i was amped like a firecracker for this game and come on seriously 1st quarter 4th and 1-2 yards give it to polite man get the 7 if u dont get it u got them pinned back plus it came off an interception u gotta capitalize with TDS on those types of offensive possesions not a FG i was so mad that we went for a fg the coaches r to blame for this and i want sparano out of here i hate him alot i want him out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That would be nice, but this is the NFL. Teams come to play every week. Even the best teams teams they should beat close every year, even the best teams make mistakes. I'm much more proud of the way we fought back then I am sad about a few turnovers. We fought a team that had been 6-1 over the last 7 weeks ON THE ROAD to the end and that is nothing to be ashamed of.
It's a real shame that probably the only positive thread that we'll see for awhile is going to get closed because of the insults flying. Henne made a bad throw. But it happens. He's still young. We were in a position to win and came up short. I'm sure we all feel like we just got kicked in the balls right now. Only time will heal the sting of this loss.
This loss hurts. But calming down a bit and taking a step back, I'm mighty proud of this group. Down 18 late in the second half with everything on the line, we come roaring back and tie it up. We held the guy everybody hails as easily the best RB in the league....a guy gunning for 2000 yards....to 3.5 ypc. He came in averaging 6.0. I also think we need to also give the Titans a little credit. They've got a pretty damn good team, with a pretty damn good coach. They haven't won 7 of 8 for nothing. The only team that's beaten them since October is currently 14-0. Tennessee is not an inferior team. They're a lot like us. And our team is on the verge.
Absolutely, we went down swinging, a mistake cost us the game, it could have easily went the other way as welll. We started out 0-3, the titans 0-6, both fought their asses off to get where we are, both teams made this season hard on themselves and bounced back.
Excuse me. I saw a flawed underdog team overcome its deficiencies and mistakes and by dint of pure guts fight back to tie it in the house of a hot team with its starting quarterback that has won its last seven. I saw Crowder drop into coverage and make plays. I saw Ginn go over the middle, where he knew he was going to get hit, and come up with a catch. I saw Hartline keep his concentration and come up with a tipped and bobbled ball on his way to a 96 yard game. I saw a two point conversion when we absolutely had to have it, out of the WildPat no less. I saw Henne throw 3 picks, but also throw 29 of 46 for 349 yards, and visibly learn, beginning to put touch on passes as the game progressed. I saw Davis overcome being toasted and come up with a good defensive play for a huge stop. I saw a 32 year old running back whom everyone has called every name in the book get his 1,000 yard season and 80 yards rushing in a game where the pass had to be prioritized. Now, the long term view. We saw this team grow today. How many of us thought we were going to the Super Bowl this year? I didn't. The team has to do the best it possibly can for a million reasons, but at the end of the day drafting a little sooner is more important to a rebuilding team than going to the playoffs this season. The rebuilding project is right on schedule. A first year quarterback blew an opportunity to win a game. What else is new? Too bad we lost, but this was a great game to watch and another step forward. Next year, Henne doesn't throw that pick.
If you think Sparano is bad for this team, I really don't know what to say to that, except that I disagree with every ounce of my being. And I think the last 2 years support my position. OT: I'm not a doctor, but you probably shouldn't be doing anything on 35 hours awake. EDIT: Reviewing your actions throughout the day, you are no longer welcome here.
I'm sorry, but we need to institute some sort of guidelines on new members, because clowns like this that post crap like this is only salt in the wound. It so obvious they are here to do nothing but troll and crap all over the team we spend a lot of time discussing in here. Posted via Mobile Device
Umm, I could care less about Tom Brady or comparing Henne to him either.... He made some terrible throws today. Ones that should never happen and especially three or four in one game. You might have missed the part where I said I like him fine BUT...I'm surely not proud of him today.
Didn't miss it just that I was trying to highlight that sh*t happens sometimes to the best of them - a young QB with confidence in his arm will make mistakes like this ocassionaly - as long as he's not doing it in 2-3 years time he should be OK.
I'm not sure how anyone could be "proud" of him after today's performance. He was dreadful. Also, he's developed quite a habit of turnovers late in the 4th quarter/OT (Tampa, Jacksonville, Tennessee). True, he led us back for the go ahead points in the Tampa game, but the point is you don't always get a "do-over." This is an alarming trend and it cannot continue.
It was a bad game from Henne as he made some bad decisions. However, I am VERY excited about the future of this team. I can't wait for the offseason and the draft and I feel this team is going to be a playoff staple for years to come starting next season. If we can get some more weapons for offense Henne will be a very very good quarterback. An upgrade at linebacker and that defense will finally be consistent, I hope Overall, I'm excited about the future of this team even after a game they had today. It's football and it happens.
Henne is a bona fide warrior, and it's good to have that quality on the team I am concerned that Henne seems to make the same mistakes I saw him make in college; a 4-year starter with 2 NFL seasons under his belt should be further along in that respect. But if he comes out of next training camp having eliminated most of those tendencies, he's going to be a going concern for our opponents.
Henne had a bad game but I am not worried about him, this is his first year of real action, the good outweighs the bad IMO Go root for some other team then if you're ashamed.
Im extremely proud of the way we fought today. on the road against a hot team. i know how much VY is disliked here, but the guys a winner. we didn't quit and almost made a remarkable comeback on the road against a solid team. we lost our starting qb, pro-bowl RB(not pro-bowl special teamer rb....ACTUAL STARTING PRO-BOWL RB). Lost our best DB, Lost the lynch pin of our entire defense(fergy), lost a key TE who had a monster season last year(Martin), and a key wildcat RB who won us games last year(Cobbs). This, with the toughest schedule in the NFL! We fought tough every game. Despite some bad performances, our worst loss of the season was by 17 points. We have overcome so much. But we could only go so far. But we have a serious toughness, and serious talent here. We have a lot of bonafide long term studs. And we WILL get out injured boys back, and fill some needs as well. I always tried to be realistic in the summer, predicting our upcoming season, (yet on the optimistic side). I had us at 10-6 or 9-7 this year. but next year, with a decent draft and free agency...and the league buckling down and getting an agreement done...i see us a 12 win, dominant team. We take the next step, and teams are gonna hate playing us. And its BECAUSE of our staff, and their way. The talent they put together, and their football theory. Im sad today. its a BRUTAL way to lose. but we are going to be a force. its here. its now. this april, when we draft...these kids are going into something special. and henne, super thankful for henne. not his best game today, wont be his last bad performance...but the kids for real. he's an old school tough qb. and he's simply good.
Yeah. Thats exactly it! You have to love everythign this team has done in the last few weeks. Personally, part of me feels that the way we play, we overplay our talents every week. It seems like with the glaring weaknesses we have at LB, and WR, and Safety, and a lack of pass rush at times, we still find a way to fight and claw ourselves into every single game, and most of the time come out on top. Hell, we took it down to the wire this year against Indy, and the Saints. The two best teams in the league record wise. We almost gave the game away early today, and we managed to fight and get ourselves back into it. Same way we fought and hung on against the Jags, and the Pats. Thats something to be proud of as fans. This team is so tough, its crazy. The only time all year I saw them give up was the end of the 2nd Bills game. Thats one thing you have to give credit to the coaching staff for. As for Henne, yeah, some rough decisions today. However, even so, he's the only reason we were in this game anyways. Like you said Manning has had games like this... Hell, nevermind that, look back to last year against the Ravens, our very own Chad Pennington had a game like this against the Ravens in the playoffs. It happens, its sports. No doubt in my mind Henne will rebound from this and theres also no doubt he's our QB of the future, and there is no doubt in my mind next year at this time, we probably wont be fighting for a playoff spot, we may already have one by now. You have to love whats been built here, and the results we've had in the last two seasons coming off of that 1 and 15 Cam Cameron debacle. The future is bright folks. May not seem like it tonight after this tough, tough loss. We're not far off... not at all.
