Why would anyone look to take a shot at any member of this organization that is putting forth the effort to improve and be more consistent on the field, and especially work on what needs improvement in practice? If you listen to the coaching staff speak of him, and his teammates, this young man works to improve his skillset and please the fans of the organization. He honestly cares and wants to succeed. Why rip the kid or have an attitude that equates to "any chance to take a shot"?

Like I said, one can be critical and critique his performance, but this seems like a pack of dogs salivating over a prey that happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

For the life of me as a fan, I dont understand the mindset to do that to a member of the TEAM someone claims to support and root for. Its a horrible way to show support and root for a team, a family, a friend.

Do folks with this mindset treat everything in there life like this? That has to suck.

He made a nice move of the line no doubt but it still wasn't a drop my jaw type of play.

Did the screen play make you drop your jaw? There's a reason it's easy to find only one of these two plays on youtube.

I really hope this serves as motivation for Ginn and he has a great game. To me as long as he is wearing aqua and orange I will support him as I do every other Dolphin.

I'm not really following all the trash-talk.this game means too much, its do or die just as last week.....and obviously titans are pretty upset that they are eliminated so they wanna try hype themselves up but when it boils down to gametime.theres coaches that notice certain things and im sure coach sparano has ginn ready to strike back with receptions/and or kick returns or run sweeps. we gotta focus and play the game with a clean head so we dont let them get the best of us. i can tell titans are a type of team to try and take u out of ur A game with a little chit chatter, ginn should have 1 of his best games of the season IMO.

It was that or "punk'd" so Slammed sounds a bit better.

Channing Crowder brought up TG on his show tonight and said that TG knows that he has to play better however CC also mentioned that Ginn puts a ton of pressure on himself and sometimes beats himself up to much because of it.

I do have a good feeling about Ginn in this game, imho he is going to play well and Sparano/Henning will give him some chances to make a vertical play in the passing game.

Yes, Ginn was a huge part of us winning the AFC East division last year and a reason alot of us are sporting Gishs badges stating that.

I've been saying all season long, I wish we as Fin fans would support all the guys, but I guess it's obvious that will not happen or this hating or bashing on players wouldnt be happening, if anything bash on our opponents,I understand that everyone has an opinion, but geesh talk about taking it too far.

Love Ginn or hate him, he is a Miami Dolphin, he didnt up and quit on us like Ricky Williams did back a few years ago, he is out there busting his *** for us, He may not catch every pass or take a kickoff return back everytime, but he is doing what he can to help us win.

Fin fans, please SUPPORT our guys out there, win lose or draw.I feel like I say this almost everyday and I guess im just wasting my time, but I know alot of you so support and that is awesome and to those of you who choose to bash him and pray he is off our team next year, that is your opinion but wow just wow.

Support the Miami Dolphins and lets get a win on Sunday.

Yeah 3rd and 1 would be a good choice to try for the deep shot. Run a PA to Polite and then chuck it downtown to Ginn. Defenses will play up seeing MR first down coming at them.

Right. Just like he didn't execute to set up the field goal against New England near the end of the half that ended up being the difference in the game. If Ginn doesn't make an incredible catch on the sidelines and get both feet in, it's a 50+ yard field goal and who knows if Carpenter makes it. Then Miami doesn't win by 1 point, and nobody is talking about playoffs right now.

How some people hold on to negativity way too long.

He wasnt taken instead of Brady Quinn....

The crybabys should be happy we didnt draft Quinn, because he wouldve gotten Cameron a free pass and we would be the St.Louis Rams.

Bess has had his share of mistakes absolutely but made some nice plays also, same as Ginn.

The Ginn haters dont wanna see that dont want to remember that he has been dissapointing but if you listen to the whining around here you would think he is the worst player in the NFL. Every game we lose someone brings up Ginn in 30+ threads but when he runs two back to beat the Jets it gets REAL quite around here, I think some of these guys care more about Ginn playing bad so they can come on here and cry rather than winning the game.

Those are very unfair and inaccurate labels. And its that type of accusation that is pure emotion which is hard to avoid a non-emotional response. But I will try.

I dont read the Ginn support as apologists, I read TEAM supporters who see the positive accomplishments to date from Ginn, and recognize his shortcomings and can fairly be disappointed in them, but expect based on his work ethic and effort his future can be positive from an execution and performance standpoint. We accept the past, but are not beholden to it for the future.

And clearly the opposing view aren't realists, but rather perceptionists. You like us have no clear reality toward the future, you may be realists toward the past, but you are only perceptionists of the present (and its an ever changing present - the worst of what have you done for me lately attitude). Sadly, its a warped perception because you have a built in desire to "rip him any chance you get"....that is never reality. Any positives you may see with you eyes, you gloss over and bring up shortcomings as if that is the guaranteed future. Clearly its not.

Neither of us have a clear knowledge of the future, we just choose to either have a positive expectation or a negative one.

I just will never understand how folks want to look for the negative, instead of expect the positive out of a team they root for (or any other aspect of LIFE for that matter). The future has no bearing based on the past.

And frankly, this mindset goes not only toward Ginn, but Henning, and P. White, and anyone that has a disappointing game (Fasano, Bess, Carey, etc, etc, etc) based on multiple threads and Game Day knee-JERK reactions. That is blatant fair-weather, band-wagoner, supporters in my book. You only support and root when positive happens, but want to cast them aside or under the bus if they do not succeed. Why?

Again, do you treat everyone in your life this way, or do you just reserve it for members of this Football team, Staff, or FO personnel?

    That sucks man....it really does.

Can we all stop with the "haters", "apologists", and other names for fellow members? We're all Miami Dolphins fans and hopefully we all want to see the players do well. Anyone who is openly rooting against a player should take a look in the mirror and consider what that player's failure would mean to the team and their playoff chances.

Very true, Chad Henne and Jake Long are from a school I hate with a deep passion. But they are MIAMI DOLPHINS now so they have the keys to how my Sundays go, so why hold a grudge because they went to that dumpy school?

Being critical is one thing but a few guys on here take it to another level, and since alot of the Ginn bashing is agreed with by the powers that be its harder for them to mod it when they agree with it.

I think this site needs a "venting" forum so I dont have to scroll down and possibly miss a good post from a Boomer or an alen because Im blinded by the "this guy sucks" threads.

I don't think anyone roots against a Fin player, everyone wants to see Ginn do well.

But when he doesn't and someone mentions it, than the other side comes running to his defense. When he does something good and someone mentions it, the other side comes running in.

I'm not a big fan of Ginn, I think he has been a major disappointment and I say so in posts. But I pull for him to make the catches and do well in games, and if he scores I'm jumping up and down.

Personally, I think the best thing for Ginn is to get a fresh start somewhere else. He has way to much pressure on him here from everyone.

I think there is something to be said about fans holding players accountable via expressing their opinions, and for fans to get high on a player via their opinions, and there will be oscillation inbetween.

That said, the point of this thread is that it is not only fans who are bagging on Ted Ginn, but fellow NFL players who are questioning Ted Ginn, that is rarely heard of in the NFL as no player wants to motivate an opponent by messing with their professional pride.

We watched Ginn catch the long ball against the Jest and he beat the supposed "best Corner in the NFL" to do so, we've also seen Ginn set an NFL record with two 100yd returns for TD's in a game, so if anything the evidence would point to Ted Ginn having a good game vs the Titans as we try to make the playoffs.

I think Ginn plays better when people openly doubt him., his problem imho is he doesn't keep it up for a string of games.

No one of either persuasion is going to change this reality:

    Ginn was drafted no.9 overall.
Ginn is a very dangerous kick returner.
Ginn is little and light for an NFL player. He relies solely on speed.
As a wide receiver, Ginn does not run good routes, avoids contact when he shouldn't and plays scared of getting hit.

We all know that. Let's get past it.

I'm rooting for him to take one or two kickoffs to the house. If he does, he can turn a loss into a win.

I'm rooting for Ginn to catch one of those sideline routes that he's been catching so well, and for the corner to make the mistake of going for the ball and missing it. Bye bye.

The rest will come slowly, if at all.
    Reality.
