Forgive me if this was already posted, I glanced around and I didn't see it. http://www.miamidolphins.com/aquavision/video/ricky-williams-interview-121609 Lol, is it me or is Ricky being a bit of a smart *** with the media? I think he said "I don't understand the question" 3 times in under a 4 minute interview. I mean I could care less if he is doing it purposely, cause I can understand the guy has an issue with public speaking or w/e exactly it is, and i feel for the guy. I know, I know he is a multi-million dollar athlete and part of his "job" is to talk to the media. Either way I think its a pretty funny interview, you can really feel the tensions are kinda high between Ricky and the media guys. Enjoy
For the way the media ripped him as a football player and as a man, I don't blame him for being a smartass.
They're kinda lame questions (the ones he said that to). "How much does it weigh on you guys that you haven't won more than 2 in a row, but now have to win 5?" "Talk about what it's like seeing what Chad and the receivers are doing every week." "Are you taking more care of your body now that you're carrying the load?" "Talk the offensive line overcoming injuries and still blocking." Ricky is a guy that enjoys mental stimulation, playing for a coach that stresses accountability. He's not a 'canned answers' guy. These questions, posed by professional journalists, are ridiculous to him. He's clearly annoyed. You notice that he answers once they better (re)phrase their question. Better bring their A game next time.
Completely agree, Muck. Ricky is a very intelligent guy, and these "professional journalists" are pretty lame. I mean if you're going to ask lame questions, isn't it better to not ask anything at all?
He has always been like that ,check the old interviews when he came back from suspension and it will crack you up. Run ricky Run
Did you see JT's? They kept asking him how he taught the young guys, or something. And he said finish. They kept asking and he kept repeating himself. The look on his face was as funny as Ricky's. Sometimes the press is so lame.
Why even quote players anymore? The questions are cliche, the answers are cliche. Do we ever really learn anything differently b/c of an interview?
Tha was a great presser by Sparano, very calm, cool and funny... I can never get a gauge on his "pretty good", he uses the term so much i dont know where are players ceiling begin or end. drives me bananas. How's randy starks playin coach? coach:.. randy's playin pretty good right now. How's Jake long playin this year coach? coach: Jake is having a pretty good year this year.
channing crowder does the only interviews, that ive noticed, where he doesnt sound like he is repeating what he was told to say. ive noticed other guys all say a lot of the same things and they are vague cliche answers. but crowder, you can tell he is thinking on his feet when he talks.
Run Ricky Run! there is no issue Williams requires neither praise nor pity he speaks volumes w/ every carry he makes watch him top a thousand (again) against the Titans we simply need him to do what he does best w/o outside hindrance or ridiculous & distracting commentaries Run Ricky Run!
He doesnt like those media interviews in the locker room. And they are pointless anyway. He doesn't mind the sit down ones though, as you saw on NFL Network. And this new one, its good: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...ins-hyde-ricky-1220-20091218,0,7251318.column
Ricky is my favorite offensive player of all time & JT is my favorite defensive player incredible & joyous that they remain w/ us through the parcellian reconstruction & I believe they will play in our next SuperBowl I couldn't write a better script about the Miami Dolphins: Bill Parcells, Ricky Williams & JT (if I were actually writing the script, I'd include the return of a healthy Zach Thomas)
how so ronnie brown is like glass touch him and he shatters can't stay on the field when sharing time how you expect him to handle the full load no way ronnie rown could be a full time feature back and survive
if they're running in Tandem Ronnie is as good as Ricky Ronnie has always run best in Tandem the Tandem from Hell is the best in the NFL however, as a feature back, I'd have to agree w/ friend KillerPain having said that I hope they are both signed to contracts as soon as possible another thing, I know it's out in left field right now but for future need: watch McFadden & the Raiders w/ the FrontOffice if he is negotiable, he will be in a Dolphin uniform he's 1 of 2 pieces left of interest to the TriFecta we will need a Franchise RB in the near future
