As an NFL fan I'd love that match-up. I'd pay for a pay per view of an undefeated super bowl matchup.
Lets say Jags beat NE, can you promise me that Miami beats NE on tiebreakers, cause I have a feeling we wouldn't.... in which case we would still need NE or the Jags to lose. I'm sorry, but if you are currently keeping Miami from the playoffs, I want you to lose... today if possible.
Thats cool...you can feel that way......Jags winning this week is meaningless to us....so I am rooting for COLTS to get knocked off...and will do the same with Dal vs. NO......works for me.
Jaguars have the same shot we had. Wow this game is bringing back memories. We couldn't score in the end though.
We own the tiebreaker, no matter which game the Pats lose. A Jags win today would help us IMO, because they would be really motivated next week. I don't think we would make it as a wildcard anyway because of Baltimore.
With undeniable proof. Still seems risky not knowing all the scenarios. Seems safer for Jags to lose.
But it's not meaningless. Them winning this week puts that much more pressure on teams at 7-6 to know they have to keep winning to catch up. A win for the jags puts them that much closer to a playoff birth, and with tiebreakers makes it that much harder for us.
Game over INT Colts win. Dolphins are now in the 7th spot, with no one in front of them except the teams that are in the playoffs. Lets hope the Jaguars play this tough against the Patriots next week!
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoffscenario?algorithm=yahooranker you could have played with this to show proof...but stupid INT ruined it...oh well. Always next week.....dang it!
Aren't we next in line once the jags lose. All the scenario's I've seen put us in the driver seat if Jags lose, I could be mistaken.
You all are wiggidity...all we care about is our playoff spot...and Jags winning today would not have changed it....they still had 2 games following and next week vs NE....but whatever...like talking to rocks sometimes.
No, the ravens are ahead of us, we are #2 in line behind them, they play the Bears and Steelers at home.
And what if the Jags had won the rest of their games? We'd be screwed. You're talking like they were guaranteed to lose one of their last two.
That is nonsense. Dude, unless you can tell me what all other teams end up.....Jags at 10-6 would not have guaranteed us not making the playoffs...thats all that matters...they didnt control our destiny. seriously....this is silly.
They never did....my goodness...if they would have ended up 10-6...that means NE would be @ 10-6 at best...and if we win out and finish 10-6 we win the AFCE. its 1+1=2 ; and you want to have me explain how?, sorry thats basic playoff math. retake the class if you have to.
