Its all meaningless BS. Lets just say Johnson is faster. What does it prove really and how does that relate to this Sundays game? Sort of makes me wish for Johnson to get carted off the field all the while having Ginn run laps around his stretcher. Ok , its not an original Idea I got it from this video which this story reminded me of lol =)

Good luck on this one. You think he's stoppable watching him play every other team and coming into your game. The problem is, he just isn't. He has a lot of stops for no yards, and then busts out a 30 yard run out of nowhere and then like a 50 yard run 3 plays later.

FML, we have to play him twice a year every year for like the next 10.

Anyone see the Ricky interview today? Looks like he is still dealing with some social anxiety, from his body language and repeatedly saying that he doesn't understand the question.

Ya, I sympathize with Ricky's condition. I'm about to the point where I wish they would leave him alone. The disorder he suffers from is real and it can be debilitating. He clearly doesn't enjoy the spotlight and as a fan of his I hate to see him put through situations like that. He's a very good running back who doesn't want to be a star. Just let his play speak for him and let him be.

My 2cents worth anyway take it for what it is.

I've seen the morality police jump on this comment. I just want to point out that this comment was about dialect, not race. But if someone wishes to bring race into your comment (as they obviously did) there is a discussion to be had.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S55VH3bIpZ0"]YouTube- I'm Yours(ukulele)[/ame]

It is ovious that this boy is emualting the sounds that he has heard. You remove the fact that he obviously struggles with english (if he knows english at all) and you take away a small portion of the talent that he has demonstrated.

When this dude starred in Rocky IV in 1985, he could not speak a lick of english. If you would have heard him speak on the Tonight Show (or something similar) while he was promoting the movie, you quite possibly would have said "He sounded like he was from another planet." I never heard anyone saying "the obvious" was racist about this white dude.

My guess is that Chris Johnson grew up in the hood right here in the good ole USA. Every day since he was young, he has been emulating the sounds that he has heard. It's not "racist" to point out that he has not overcome the sounds. To the contrary, it does a disservice to those that have overcome to not point out achievement and an obvious lack thereof. The "hood" does not discriminate. I've seen all races come out of the hood and I'll say it now - I can't understand a word they are saying.

I have told more than a couple young people that the need to concentrate on improving their dialect. Why? Mainly because people want to hire people that can communicate. So while the morality police will come in and excuse the dialect of an individual that is WORSE than the generation before him, I will not excuse that dialect. Why? Because excusing the hoodrat does a disservice to those who come before them who chose to struggle and overcome.

Have you heard Norm Chow talk?

Wait, he's asian, that's racist too unless I'm the one saying it. Hmmm ...

Ginn would beat him. It'd be close at 40 yards IMO, but it wouldn't be after that. Make it 75 yards to even it out.:pointlol:

I Don't know for sure who would win. These short races depend heavily on the start. If they ran the same race 10 times I'm sure they would both win some and lose some. I can say this for certain the races would all be close, thus making BOTH of them VERY fast.

Ted's a long strider. He wins a 100m or 200m race, but definitely loses a 40 yard dash imo.

I just read an article on this somewhere that Ginn ran a 4.24 while he was at Ohio State, the same time Chris Johnson ran at the combine. But Ginn was coming off a foot injury that year he ran a 4.31 at the combine. I believe that they both run the same speed now.

 It just seems that Ted Ginn keeps finding new and inventive ways to be poorly regarded.

What I'd like to see is a race...but one in which they each have to make a catch about 20 yards in.

And with guys trying to knock their blocks off all along the way.

Otherwise, I couldn't care less which of them is faster.

I guess I never really saw an interview with Ted talking, but dang he has a pretty bad lisp.

Kid said all the right things though. Really isn't the time or place to discuss this nonsense. I really rag on the kid, but dammit I wish every week that he would shut us all up.

On a side note Johnson has kind of been a douchebag. During last training camp, he said he didn't want to be called the "Lightening" to Lendale's "Thunder." He wanted to be called "Every Coaches' Dream." Douche.

It's almost gotten to the point where I just skim through our local reporters stuff. Most of it is just repeating what was said in their interviews. So I tend to watch all the Interviews and scan the national media as well as our upcoming opponents forums and newspapers.

Compare Chris Johnson now and Ricky in his prime, I'd take Ricky. So many times people put emphasis on most passing yards, most rushing yards, most TD's and so forth. In my opinion, it takes more than that. Where am I going with this? Ricky was never as fast as Chris Johnson, but he did block and pick up blitzes very well, better than Johnson. I remember a few games back, Jeff Fisher pulled Chris Johnson from the game because he was dancing too much as soon as he got the handoff instead of just hitting the hole hard and he also missed 2 key blocks that lead to a Kerry Collins sack, and a hurried Collins that threw a pick. Obviously yards is a big stat for a running back, but it shouldn't be the only stat. Picking up blitzes and being successful/unsuccessful or missing blocks/blitzes should be a also be a primary stat in my opinion.

we only lost one of those fumbles. and lets not forget that its the respect ricky demands that makes chad's job easier. when ricky gets 100 yards and a td, he is player of the game unless someone else makes a huge game changing play. Starks was runner up IMO. Ricky is our lifeblood.

Ted didn't run at the combine, he was injured.

He ran 4.38, 4.40 and 4.41 on an injured ankle during a torrential thunderstorm (it was so dangerous his agent or coach called off the workout).

CJ is just running his mouth.

He had a speech impediment and a learning disability as a kid.

Johnson is very arrogant. I really hope Ginn out preforms him on Sunday. I don't believe Ginn challenged him I think it started from Peezy's and Ochocinco's mouth and CJ being the way he is took it as a challenge.

I'll side on Ginn on this one.

The unfortunate death of Chris Henry shows why I am glad our coaching staff has worked hard to keep this roster full of high-character guys that don't find themselves in stupid situations.

Not that running a street race and some of the Henry allegations are on the same level - but things easily escalate and obviously there is a risk for injury in anything a player does of this nature.

Good. Hopefully this ACTUALLY gets Ted pissed off enough for him to get intense out there. The only great game I have seen from him this season was after he was given the prison-shower room treatment by the fans and media after the Saints game. He came back with a 'screw you' game.

When you have a hesitant, fearful guy like ginn, it seems they only dominate when you get them offended and angry enough that they stop thinking and just ATTACK the game.

Hopefully this 'ducking the race' rumor gets Ted's pride wounded enough that he feels fed up and wants to prove something on Sunday.

hell, I wouldn;t be surprised if Parcells leaked the rumor. LOL.

So Jim Rome just came on talking about this race and such and it gave me a great idea.....lets use this whole race thing to win the game!!!! We should have Teddy Ginn line up on the 50 yard line and talk trash to CJ the whole pregame and just run his mouth till he can't even speak anymore and see if they get get CJ to come and throw a punch and boom he's out of the game and we win easy!!!!

Ok Ok I'm half joking, but I would trade Ted for CJ getting tossed from a game any day, and twice on sunday.

On PTI Kornheiser just said something along the lines of, it wasn't only ginn who ducked the race...it was also ginns entire family, because when you get ginn, you get his family... hahaha classic

they also had JT on there. His comments were basically, "who cares they're both fast." he also raved about ricky, which is something i think we all love to hear
