"A lot of these Patriots weren't involved with the 06 super bowl." uh....what 2006 Super Bowl? The Pats weren't even in it and the last team that won was the 2004 team, right?

Was that Jaworski, that fat dumb@$$?

haha get over it......sad that dolphin "fans" root for a hated rival when the playoffs are in reach still

if anyone goes undefeated they will not be better than the 72' team......they will just JOIN them.....i believe zonk said that himself......

its been 40 years.....my dad was like 7 years old.....no one cares about it.....the only thing its good for is gigantic Tool dolfans using it in arguments against rival fans when they have no more ammo left......

we always bring our "A" game against the Pats, especially in Miami, where Belicheat and Brady have a losing record.

I could give two ****s about an undefeated regular season.

I honestly don't think either the Colts or Saints will make it out of the regular season undefeated but even if the do at least if they both make the Superbowl only one of them could be undefeated in the end! :D

No franchise is as much a slave to it's past as the Miami Dolphins.

I "care" about the perfect season, I also live in the now, we have a shot to build something in Miami, making the playoffs, or making a playoff run with our schedule and a Rookie Qb is the future.

yah it gets worse every year with miami fans. its amazing. i'm a yankee fan. you never hear yankees fans saying screw babe ruth or **** joe dimaggio. yankees fans revere their storied past but this new breed of miami fan just pisses on the past. i swear i think some actually root for a team to finally tie our record because they are tired of hearing about it. hopefully this team starts winning some championships and then maybe a respect for the past will return. right now i just think that being reminded of the great teams of the past is also a reminder of how crappy our teams have been for the last decade and for some that are young (not you) that bothers them since they have known nothing but bad miami football

i swear for the first time i think fans of other teams have more respect for our records than our own fans

not to derail this thread completely but it's not that i "don't care" it's that i live "in the now".

the present means more to me than the past does because I'm living it.

History is important but they have an opportunity to shape the present.

i respect the hell out of it.....but i care about right now. this season. these players (most of which werent even alive in 72)

i care about us having a chance to beat the patriots and make a crazy run for the playoffs. i think alot of dolphin fans live in the past too much. we had a great running game in '72 but had the absolute easiest schedule of any superbowl team in the history of the nfl. .365 winning % from the dolphins opponents in '72.

i just think its fine to respect the past.......but stop living in it

    just my .02

The past...is past...I've never heard Jeter lament "I wish I played on the 27 Yankees", he is to busy winning...right now.

Thephins had a shot at stopping both winning streaks, and blew it, so now it is out of our hands Adamp.

Henne learning to play Qb in the heat of playoff run can only help us moving forwards.

Sparano has a chance to erase some of the worst eras in dolphins history:

Saban lying about going to Alabama

    Passing on Brees...twice

    Cam Cameron's 1-15

I think he is up to it.

The Saints are just spanking the Patriots, this is the sort of beatdown that the Patsies used to put on us.

i heard jeter talk plenty about babe ruth and the 27 yankees. the guy shows a world of respect for those teams just as our miami players do. its only the fans who have lost respect for the 72 dolphins. maybe if we return to winning the respect will return

i'm not saying you cant root for the saints here. i'm just talking about alot of the side comments that go with explaining why. no need to traqsh the record to make your point. jhust say you dont want to give up on the playoffs yet......easy

im not addressing it to you padre....just a general venting of an old man lol

whats scarier? saints are demolishing the pats.....colts.....didnt come close to this performance.....saints have an all-around team.....i only see maybe the vikings beating them in the playoffs cause of their running game keeping brees off the field.....gunna be a fun end of the season to watch
