I've decided to do a position by position analysis of what we should do, in my opinion, to make this team a contender again.

    UFA:
    Brandon Stokley
CB- We need to land a CB, Allen would be a great #2.
    Justin Smith

    RFA
Anderson, more of a dream but oh well.

    Draft:
Trade our first for the Cowboys two firsts.
Trade Jason Taylor for the redskins 2nd

    19th: Reggie Smith
Can play both Safety and Corner, and could solve one of our biggest needs.

31st: Frank Okam Loads of potential but needs to show more consistency, would be great if he fell to us here.

    32nd: Jeff Otah
Huge RT with loads of potenital, still wuite raw, but could improve our line drastically in the long run.

    2nd a: DE

    2nd b: MLB

The rest of the draft we go BPA.

QB- Unless we magically get Anderson, I say we roll the dice with Beck next year, he was put in a situation to fail. We need to add more talent around him next year and see what he can do.

RB- Ronnie is a beast, not to mention he was leading the league in yards per scrimmage untill he got hurt. So obvioulsy no to Mcfadden. Keep Ricky and let him be Ronnie's back up but keep him involved. Continue to develope Booker, Chatman is expendable.

WR- Add Stokley and we have a nice receiver corps shaping up. Use Booker in the slot and we're set.

OL- It would be nice to add Starks or Faneca, but there it's not a pressing need. Also don't forget about Mormino, he could step in next year.

TE- get rid of Martin, and let Peele be the starter, great blocker and has proven to be reliable in the passing game this year.

DL: Justin Smith can take over for JT, while we develop a young DE to battle with Roth. As for the Inside We have Holliday, Solai, and Frank Okam. Nice young line right there.

LB: We have Crowder and Porter, along with Thomas who I think comes back next year. With Thomas there he can groom the young mlb we draft.

CB: Allen and our Free Agent pick up along with Reggie Smith, and we have 3 good corners. Use Daniels, and Goodman as depth.

S: Resign Bell, and keep Allen as our starters. I was ready to write Allen off as a bust but he proved this year he can be a starter.

    Coaches:
    Fire Capers
    Fire Armstrong
Keep Cameron, I am slowly losing faith but more change will do us no good.

This is what I would do, now tell me what you'd do...

    i like it.

though im positive some team who is a DE away from the super bowl would give us a 1st for jason taylor...POSITIVE.

but at this point, ill take the Cowboys 2 first round picks...but theyll have to give us a 2nd also.

but is there anyone at #1 who the Cowboys need? they dont need a 4th RB, nor do they need a QB or DL....

How are we going to get a 2nd for Jason Taylor? NO TEAM will give up a day one pick for a guy having a bad year, with a big contract and advanced age. We will get nothing for him, nadda, zip. We'll cut him or keep him.

Only getting Dallas' 2 firsts for our #1 pick would be VASTLY under selling the pick. I would want who ever made that decision fired on the spot.

We won't get close to Anderson. The compensation would be huge to go with a multi year contract.

though what ID do is, if we had the money:

    Sign:
    Max Starks OT
    Albert Haynesworth DT
Marcus Trufant OR DeAngelo Hall CB

    Get rid of:
    Keith Traylor DT
    David Martin TE
    Greg Camarillo WR
    LJ Shelton RT

    Trade:
    Jason Taylor for a 1st
    Zach Thomas for a 3rd
Vonnie Holliday for a 6th (unless hes an FA?)
    Marty Booker for a 6th

    Draft:

R1a: Trade up, draft DeSean Jackson WR Cal
    R1b: Fred Davis TE USC
    R2a: Limas Sweed WR
R2b: Andrew Bain or Will Arnold (OG)
    R3a: Joe Flacco (QB Delaware)
    R3b: Jeremy Leman (ILB, Illinois)
R4a: Red Bryant (DT, Texas A-M)
    R5a: No pick
    R6a: Anthony Reddick (S, Miami)
R6b: DJ Parker (S, Virginia Tech)
    R6c: Jonathon Zenon (CB, LSU)
    R7a: Curtis Gatewood (OLB, Vanderbilt)

suddenly our offense looks much better. and our defense gets some depth. my apologies i DONT know much about where these college guys will be picked, so sorry if i have someone too high or low.

I disagree and think that Taylor can garnish a 2nd round pick. As to you coment about Dallas, I don't have the pick values in front of me so I'm not sure if I was underselling the pick or not, but If I am then make them throw in a 2nd or 3rd.
