This might be long so I will try to make it quick. I don't know if this should be in the lounge forum or not but here it is. Sorry I don't have any pics for you guys. But I hope ya'll enjoy it.

My first and only Dolphins game was on October, 2003 vs the Chargers. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, so techinically I wasn't supposed to be able to go that game. I got to go for free because the game was moved from California to Arizona at Sun Devil Stadium because of some forest fires.

It all started on that Sunday when I was watching another game half sleep. They mentioned at halftime that the game was going to be moved to AZ. I was like, "That game is going to be expensive. It's a Monday night game. I would love to go to that game." God must have answered my prayers, because the next day in the morning around 11 a.m., I was flipping channels and I stopped at a news channel. "Thousands of people is lining up to attend the Chargers-Dolphins game at Sun Devils Stadium. This game is free..." I didn't hear anything after those words. I flew into my closet and put on everything Dolphins and ran out the house.

I got on the bus (sorry I can't drive) and was sad to see that no one was going to the game or was wearing anything from either teams. By the time I got a couple of miles from the stadium, there was Dolfans everywhere. I didn't know AZ had that many fans. I didn't see Chargers fans anywhere. I didn't care but I was about to have a surprise I didn't see coming...

I was getting off the bus when I get picked up by about 5 or 6 Dolfans. They were all screaming "Dolphins!! Whoo!!". They took me to their taligating spot. I hung out with them for a while then, I started walking around and I met the guys from Westwood One radio and Xtra Sports 910 radio. I walked down a little bit further and found some people throwing a football and then I found this huge SUV full of fans playing Madden. There was fans there that wasn't even for the teams playing. They were there because it was free.

An hour or so later, a helicopter was right above me and some fans and flashed a light. So we all got in the light and was trying to show our team spirit!! A news reporter somehow found a Chargers fan and wanted to interview him. The only problem was the reporter couldn't get the fan to himself. That was because we Dolfans were surrounding the cameras ( I was one of them). Finally the line I was in started to move a little. I was getting even more excited because I had a chance to see my team play for the first time. A fan next to me handed me a pair of binoculars and I saw Ricky Williams and Patrick Surtain. Then I saw Al Michaels. John Madden got out of the Madden Cruiser and was taken inside via golf cart.

I finally got to the entrance and Cardinals cheerleaders were giving me the ticket to where I would be seating and giving the money back to those who came from CA with there own tickets. I got inside and there he was, John Madden in the golf cart. He was waving at everyone but I couldn't get too close since security guards kept us at a distance. I did manage to shake his hand though.

I got to my seat (which was some good seats) and saw the first play which was an interception by Surtain. I snapped at everyone around me was just laughing but they loved my enthusiasm. The Dolphins won that game 26-10 and I even had a chance to see two times a guy run naked on the stadium and get taken out of the stadium. Believe me I wasn't excited to see the naked guy ( I love women trust me ), I was excited to see him get bodyslammed to the turf.

That was a great experience for me and I will never forget it. I hope to have more like that in future. Go Dolphins!!!

I don't remember my first Dolphin game. We had season tickets since 1982, when I was 6. We sat in the upper deck, about 20th row, around the 10 yard line.

My brother and I would make paper airplanes out of the programs and throw them over the edge. That kept us entertained. I also remember kicking some piece of metal to make noise on 3rd downs.

The first game I really remember well was the 1985 AFC Championship Game vs. the Pats. Last game in the Orange Bowl. I vividly remember Craig James running out the clock. I remember saying to my dad, "If they keep on running the ball, the game's gonna be over, and Marino won't be able to get the ball back." He simply responded by saying, "exactly".

i cant recall which game it was exactly. pretty sure i was pre-teen and it was at the jets.

and i recall the feeling. seeing a game at the stadium is nothing like watching on tv. i was shocked and surprised by how different it was from what i originally thought. blown away. kinda like the first time as a kid, you take that mirror, and look at your own butt-hole.

The first dolphins game that I went to that the Fins won was last year at the Meadowlands when Penne came back to his house and beat the Jets for the AFC East Crown. All the Dolphins fans were High Fiving each other on the way out of the stadium.great game!

13 years old, played the Raiders in Oakland on Monday night. Fins lost 13-3 after Csonka fumbled twice on the Raiders one yard line. I remember sitting around mid-field on the Raiders side. Low enough that the Raiders players got in the way at times. I still have the program (somewhere) which had Shula on the cover.

My first Dolphins game was November 5, 2001. It was at Detroit, in the Silverdome. The game started with a surprise onside kick by Olindo Mare. The Dolphins recovered, and it was pretty much over after that.
Lamar Smith had 2 TDs in the first quarter. He was the player of the game.
Charlie Batch was booed by the home crowd in Detroit.
    The Dolphins won easily 23-8.

Since then I have been to these games. Not a lot, but memorable and fun.

2001: Hall of Fame Game - Rams @ Dolphins - Don't remember much from this game. Left at halftime to do something :shifty: in the parking lot, then they didn't let us back in. Dolphins lose 10-17.

2002: Week 2 - Dolphins @ Colts - Johnny Unitas moment of silence. Manning picked 3 times in first half. Marvin Harrison broke an NFL record. Ricky's 2nd game as a Dolphin. Dolphins hold off Manning in final seconds at the goalline to win by 8. Dolphins win 21-13.

2004: Week 1 - Titans @ Dolphins - Fiedler benched for Feeley at halftime. Dolphins lose 7-17.

2005: Week 1 - Broncos @ Dolphins - Saban and Ronnie's first game. JT fumble return on last play. Dolphins win 34-10.

2006: Week 7 - Packers @ Dolphins - Harrington starts. JT ****s up Brett Favre. But Ahman Green gets a huge TD run to kill us. First game with my dad where our teams were playing each other. Dolphins lose 24-34.

2006: Week 16 - Jets @ Dolphins - Front row seats in the lower level near the 10 yard line. Very rainy game. It's Christmas on Monday Night. Very low scoring game. Leon Washington screwed us in the end. Randy McMichael scored his last TD as a Dolphin. Dolphins lose 10-13.

2007: Week 2 - Cowboys @ Dolphins - T.O. did the spygate celebration. Trent Green sucked really bad that day. Marion Barber iced us. Dolphins lose 20-37.

2007: Week 7 - Patriots @ Dolphins - Patriots up 42-7 at halftime. Ronnie Brown lost for the season. Zach Thomas' last game as a Dolphin. Finheaven hyjacked after the game. Dolphins lose 28-49.

    2009: Week 10 - Buccaneers @ Dolphins
    - Free tickets from thephins.com. Last minute drive to save the game, and maybe the season. Ronnie injured his ankle. Dolphins win 25-23.

Dolphins are 4-6 when I'm present. I'm trying to get back to .500 :D

Its my goal to go to a Miami game. Ive been to 1 college game and I believe it was the 94 Rose Bowl but I'm 100% on that. Ive also seen the Vikings play twice against the Aints and Yucs.

Yes I happen to live with a bunch of viking fans *sigh* Oh how I'll never forget the 98 season when Gary Anderson shanked that go ahead field goal and I will never forget my dad's reaction as he pulled off his best Hulk Hogan impersonation by tearing off his viking shirt and punting this miniature Viking mascot. Ah to be apart of such moments.

Yes I know not Dolphins game but I wanted to contribute something

Got to see the Dolphins defense under Johnson take form, shutting down Kordell Stewart and the Pittsburg offense which was pretty good at that time. Saw Dan Marino throw a TD pass. Abdul-Jabbar ran for over 100 yards rushing. Final Score: 21-0. Pretty damn good first game.

My one and only live phins game was when the Dolphins came to Detroit to play the Lions on Thanksgiving, November 23 2006. My best friend is a Lions fan for some reason, and loved the pick of Harrington when the lions drafted him. Of course, like every other lions fan he ended up hating him. So he wore his Harrington jersey, with the #3 on it crossed out  and I had my phins jersey on. We were roaming around downtown detroit at about 730am that morning, settled in at Cheli's Chili bar for the morning for some beers, hit up some other parties downtown, because, believe it or not, Detroit actually has some pretty good tailgate/party spots down there on gamedays, especially Thanksgiving.

Anyways, what a great day it was for me getting to see the phins live, against my best friends team. I was jacked up. I remember running around ford field before the game, a wee bit drunk, high fivin every phins fan I saw, hugging some of the hotter female ones  There were actually alot of phin fans there.

It was hilarious how much crap I took from the Lions fans around me for wearing my Ricky Williams jersey, and then it was even more hilarious to hear the classess idiots at Ford Field playing Billy Joel's piano man as they introduced only ONE Miami Dolphins player that day in the starting lineup... Joey Harrington . The boo's throughout that stadium for Harrington were insane. Hmm... I wonder if the Lions did that on purpose? Any wonder that franchise is such a joke?

I tell you, there was nothing better than watching Joey go 19 of 29 throwing for 213 yards, and 3, yes... THREE touchdowns against the Lions. I had the time of my life laughing at all the Lions fans who looked like they wanted to cry when Harrington found Marty Booker for 2 td's, and Randy McMichael for another! It was beautiful, just beautiful! Same with the phins fans throughout the stadium rubbing it in all afternoon with chants of JOEY! JOEY! JOEY! After every score. Priceless... just Priceless.

All in all, it was a GREAT afternoon for me! Dolphins 27, Detroit 10

Just for fun... I find it amusing to read this article on this game again, and look at the box score every once in a while!

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=261123008

Only bad memory from this game was that Ronnie was having a good game, and this was the game he injured his hand when it got stuck in someones facemask.

I must say also, I liked this quote from Nick Saban on Harrington and the Lions...

""It's a shame people can't appreciate what he tried to do for this organization," Saban said. "To be honest for you, I don't have a lot of respect for what they did."

This game was the main reason I never bashed Joey too much when he was here. I loved what he did for me this day.

Same here brother. Once a year I got to see my heroes come to NY, the guys who I pretended to be at recess everyday. As much of a hole as Shea was, along with the ******* fans and the low flying airliners every five minutes, those were some awesome memories. Unfortunately, many of those games are kinda jumbled in my memory. The one game that really stood out, as when I was in 5th or 6th grade ('74, '75?) was a blowout. I mean we just trounced the Jets bad. It seemed like grown men wanted to kick my butt, and especially my poor uncle. I actually liked both teams up to that point, but the events of that day made me a Jet-Hater for life.

1st pro game - stationed at Ft Devens, Mass, Dec 12, 1982. Ring a bell anyone?

You got it - drove through a freakin blizzard to see the game, narrowly missed several multi-car pileups going to and coming back from Foxboro. Only to see the Cheatriots start their legacy with an ex-con and a snowblower. The good part of the game was no one was there. My roomie and I were walking up and down the front row of the bleachers to follow the game, since most of them were empty anyway. So we had the best seats in the house most of the game. It was awesome football weather, snowed the whole time but not horribly cold, except if you were sitting on those nasty metal benches.

My next pro game (sort of) was the Pro Bowl, 1985. Stationed in Hawaii for a few years, the game was crap but the tailgating was awesome, starting me on a trend that continues to this day. Tailgating rocks! Section 21W for those who make it to any home games. After that, didn't attend another game until I moved to Miami in 1997. Season ticket holder since 1999. Missed very few games since.

The first game I ever remember going to was vs. the Bears in 95? The Phins lost a close one.

The first game I went where the Phins won was against the hated Jets in the late 90's. I remember Kareem Abdul-Jabaar scoring a couple TD's and Glenn Foley throwing an interception to seal the win for Miami.

I've also been to several Pats games at Dolphins stadium and one at Foxboro. I was there for the infamous 'Olindo' game where Mare missed two chip shot FG's and Tom Brady threw a bomb for a TD in overtime. I was also there for the 21-0 shutout of the Pats known as the "Zach Tape Game" and the thrashing they put on us in 07' where Randy Moss had his own personal field day.

And of course, I was at the unveiling of the Wildcat last year in New England. By far my favorite game experience. Although I was at the Bucs game last week and that was pretty exciting.

My first Dolphins game was 1999 at the Kingdome for the playoff game. The energy was electric. It was by far the loudest anything I have been too. Seahawk fans are nuts when it comes to nose. The amazing thing about it to me was the fact that it was so loud that I would have to yell at my friend to just talk to him throughout the entire game and then somehow it would just get louder.

The beginning of the game was amazing. Waiting for the tickets a seahawk fan would stand on the ramp and yell "Seahawks" and the crowd would just explode in cheers. A Dolphin fan would yell "Dolphins" and everyone would boo them. For the most part Seattle is pretty nice to opposing fans. They might rib them, however I haven't heard of anything bad happening to them.

Everyone who is old enough should remember that this was the game where Marino lead the Dolphins back with an awesome 4th and long pass.

The funny part to me was how happy everyone was at the beginning of the game and after the game, everyone was pissed. Nothing but grumbling all the way from the 300 level down to waiting for the bus. It was my favorite game experience so far.

1st game: 93 monday night football, fins at chargers. Scott mitchell started that game for an injured Dan Marino. We got killed. My lasting memory was Danny reaching for my football to autograph it and some ******* charger fan started reaming him. He ran into the tunnel. My dad almost killed that guy.

2nd game: 98 Fins at Niners. Lost 21-0. Few weeks after 9.11. Airlines practically giving me the plane tickets for free.

04-First home game vs Rams. We were 0-6 in Wannstedts last year. We won, and I came out on the sportscenter highlight jumping like a maniac when Chris Chambers scored on a long touchdown. (sidenote: I know a lot of you despise Wannstedt, but I don't. I pull for his Pitt team cause he's coaching them. I guess I feel bad for him in a weird way)

05 (I think) FIns at Chargers. We killed their playoff hopes that year. Awesome crowd, large percentage of fins fans as always in SD.

This year: At Falcons- nuff said

This year: At Chargers- nuff said.

Hey Dolfan, I had tickets to that Chargers game that got moved to AZ. You stole one from me.

So 6 games. Not bad for a guy from Cali living in Georgia.

First and only phin game i went to was in 2003 (i think) and it was a pre-season game (nationally televised) against the Falcons at Pro Player Stadium (is what it was i believe)

It was also cool at the time because i was pumped to see Ricky and the bonus of seeing Mike Vick. Of course, if anyone remembers Vick broke his foot or ankle the week prior vs. Baltimore. So i missed seeing him.

We went down to Disney/Universal and part of the deal was i had to go to a phins game.

We took the greyhound from Kissimee (Sp?) down to the depot by the stadium. Some pretty rough areas along the way, but beautiful state nonetheless.

Took a cab to the stadium and saw they renamed the road Dan Marino BLVD, which i thought was awesome. The tailgaiting was a sight to see, where i'm from there isn't much tailgaiting at pro sports because it's normally really cold during the hockey season and the football season where i'm from just doesn't have the same following. So it's tiny in comparison. And it was a phins preseason game to boot.

We sat upper deck about 40 yard line, near some guys from ATL. There was some good banter going back and forth but all in good fun. Nice fans i must say.

The stadium, atmosphere, weather was all amazing. I was so happy i got to go at least once. I'll for sure be going again. It's tough as i live on the other side of the continent from Miami. But i know it will be worth the trip.

I bought a real NFL football (don't sell them in Canada anymore) and a navy blue Ricky jersey. Got on the bus around 10-11 and got back pretty late to our hotel near disney. People on the greyhound were all real nice great to talk too during the road trip.

Great thread btw. I hope for anyone on here who hasn't been that they one day get to go to at least one game. I really enjoy reading about some others who have been to many and some real memorable games for our phins over the past 4 decades.

That to me is so cool Hardkore, in this era of the phins, it has to be one of their greatest games. That game will live on with some of the all time great phin games.

Awesome to hear you were in attendance and would have seen so much confusion, heartbreak, shock, distain around you, all while you were probably looking like you just won the lottery! :knucks:

My first game was in Buffalo, heck they all have been there. This one was great though, even though miami lost, i got to witness Ricky run wild for 228yrds in a snow storm. Great memory.

My first Dolphins game was their last game in the Orange Bowl. It was the 1985 AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots. We were the only team to beat the Chicago Bears that year. The Patsie fans were leading the Phins and chanting, "we want da bayas" in an accent only New Englanders can do. The Patsies went on to beat Miami and got their butts kicked in the Super Bowl by the Bears. My hatred for the Paties boiled over and hasn't simmered since.

  33. Our first game was the Dolphins at Baltimore - 1997, I think? PFH and I were still just dating, and he had never seen them play live (after being a fan since 1972). He went out of town on business, and I found an advertisement for a pair of tickets to the Baltimore game and bought them as a surprise. Abdul-Jabbar (Lord, remember HIM?) scored two touchdowns in that game, LOL...

Our second game was in Miami in October of 1999 (Marino's final year, and the "Year of Cecil Collins"). It was my first wedding anniversary gift to PFH -- plane tickets, hotel, game tickets -- and we beat Philadelphia in McNabb's first-ever NFL game!! What a great time we had -- complete with video camera, with which PFH filmed me as I taunted the crap out of the sad, dejected Philly fans crawling out of the stadium (OK, a few too many beers were involved here).
