Should we get a veteran WR for Henne??? There has to be some good guys out there that we could use for the rest of the year.

Im proud of Henne, and I think with some WR, that man can work some majic.

    Sperry = Starting TE.

Henne needs to make his bones with the same Receiving Corps that Pennington did & do it this season w/o excuse.
We go nowhere w/o the Franchise QB & he doesn't look like the sharpest tool in the shed @ this point in the game.

    Yeah, SHUT UP!!!!!

If he goes out theres two teams taking a dump----The Phins and My Fantasy Team.

I had Ronnie and Cedric Benson go down with injurys today. I went from havign a almost unstoppable RB Trio in Peterson, Benson, Brown to relying on Hightower and Kevin Smith---*Gulp*

He has an ankle injury, bro. He may miss the game against Carolina but that's it IMO. I could be wrong though, lol.

losing RB even for 1 week is a large blow to the offense, but maybe we stick with a more conventional offense, and let Henne and RW earn their keep .... we can win this game without him.

playing CAR is going to be very much like this game ... key is stopping the run ... then worry about Smith and TE ...

    UPDATE http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/10374456/Dolphins'-Brown-hurts-right-ankle-in-win-over-Bucs

He knows his body. He is probably on crutches as a precaution, since he shouldn't be walking on it. I think he misses the Panthers game but I think[and hope] we'll see him again this season. Anyone know how long the x-ray results usually take? probably tomorrow right?

IF he is hurt for the season we should make a play for a wr for the rest of the season[galloway or harrison], since we are alive in the playoff race. We have 4 games against teams we're battling with.

i don't see us signing a WR ... if we haven't up to now

with Smiley injured, that might open up another spot as well ...

now Hilliard gets a chance to show why we wouldn't put him on the PS

No you are right he said on his press conference that it was just a tweak he rolled it. He said at first it hurt a lot but then as the game went on the pain started to wear off

Ronnie gets hurt and suddenly that is a reason to speculate on why we might go after a WR. If we were going to go after a WR we would have done it regardless of the injury to a running back.

For those who want Galloway I have to LOL. We didn't want that cast off before why now.

Are people that bored to sit around and create ridiculous scenarios? :wink2:

He is with the Ravens and why would we bring in those guys? There is no point of signing a WR if they are not as good as the ones we have

Didn't Donald Thomas once say his injury was "nothing serious" and he was done for the year? I don't believe it until I read about the medical report.

I have said over and over that Ricky needs to get the ball 20-25 times a game. He is still strong, and came through at the end of the game. He had 20 carries this game. Ricky only gets stronger as the game goes on. Sorry, but I think Ricky is way better than Ronnie.

That may be true, but there is a reason most defenses fear the Crayon over Ricky.

Ricky isn't what he used to be, and can be chased down or covered in open spaces.

He's a special player, but he isn't what ronnie brown is.

Problem is, ricky doesn't even want that. This is a guy who once retired because he was ran into the ground and i believe if he had to start carrying it that much a game he'd get burnt out again.

I agree that he has had some character issues. Maybe I keep hoping he will snap out of it long term. LOL!

Long term? Isn't the guy like 34? He's not a long term solution either way.

32--- and worried about his health. He couldnt be happier splitting reps with a young proven back.

I dont blame him either, why shoulder all the work when two backs are better then one package wise.

Teams dump bricks when they both are on the field at the same time. I wonder why Nick Satan didn't think of the Wildcat in 05 or 06?

If Ronnie is healthy I am not suggesting "dumping" Ronnie. I just personally think Ricky should get more rushes.

And what, Ronnie Brown cant be caught? Top speed goes to Ricky.

Your opinion isnt a fact. Give me hard facts, numbers, that point to Ronnie is better than Ricky. I just dont get the mentality of individuals these days. Over the course of their careers in the 5 first seasons for Ricky and Ronnie, Ricky put up way more numbers. Even now, this year, Ricky is still putting up more numbers with less touches than Ronnie. Yet people blindly say Ronnie is better. Ronnie dances and hops like Chris Johnson of the Titans instead just hitting the hole at full strength/speed, which he should do given his size. Please, concretely, explain how Ronnie is better.

Heres a fact. Ricky had no one to share the ball with in NO or Miami his first 5 years.

    Ronnie had Ricky.

Numbers are already skewed right there.

    Season ending injury's too.

Ricky has played well this year, dont get me wrong, but the NFL isn't college.

At Auburn, they respected Caddy more then Ronnie. In the NFL, they respect ronnie more then ricky. Look at Saban's comments for anedoctal evidance.

I'm a huge ricky fan----look at my screen name, but Ronnie is the better player. He's also got better hands out of the backfield (although ricky has made great strides there).

Thankyou krypto, I just think Ricky is a better and stonger runner than Ronnie. You are right, look at the stats comparitively.

Here's another fact....We didnt have the Wildcat which opens up the offense. Everyone can zero in on Ricky whereas with the Wildact, defenders have to watch so many people.

Please explain this statement because i really dont get what you're trying to say.

Again, you're still not giving any reason as to why Ronnie is without a doubt better.
Ronnie has yet to break 390 yards receiving. Ricky had 511 back in 2001, his 3rd year.

I'm not getting into a pissing contest on the internet, look for another yuppy---lol.

The fact is Ronnie is better then ricky, simply because Ronnie Means more to this team then ricky does.

    How's that?

Forget it, its a waste of time. You clearly have no facts to back up your claims. Just because he means more to a team doesnt make him a better player. Ronnie means more merely because of the age factor as opposed to Ricky, maybe the reliability factor(because Ricky did quit on us once), and the fact that Ronnie can throw(for a running back). But in the past, Ricky has put up more numbers. Remember in 2002, Ricky rushed for 1853yards(12th most in NFL history) and had a total of 2216 yards from scrimmage. Ronnie hasnt even come close. And now for this year, Ricky is again, leading in most stats but with fewer touches.........yet Ronnie is better?
