I know its only Tuesday and alot of us are still reeling from the loss in NE. But I couldnt help but get giddy like a 14 year old at a Miley Cyrus concert over the thought of Tampa coming to town. Hopefully we can bully them around so I can actually enjoy a stress free game. Their rookie QB had a great game throwing i beleive 3 td passes, so i dont want to take them all too lightly. Im pretty sure Tampa does have some confidence coming off that big surprising win against GB. But i just dont see them having an answer for our running attack, and i have a feeling the pass rush will come out hungry and try to redeem themselves. I also have a gut feeling we see Pat Turner this week and hopefully alot more Hartline and Cam. What are you guys thoughts about Tampa? Im gonna say 28-7 Dolphins!
we need to win big....then come here to charlotte and demolish the panthers (ill be at the game) then we'll be .500 !!!!
I'm not assuming anything. Every team is full of grown men with a lot of pride on the line. I hope Miami wins but I just can't bring myself to bash on Tampa. Hell we're not that far removed from being in the same place they are.
Big week, Jets have the Jags in Jacksonville, Bills have the Titans, if they lose and we win we tie for Second in the AFCE and the Bills slide back to 3-6. Then we have the panthers on Thurs, win that and we are .500 for the first time this year.
Scary part is if history repeats itself, the dolphins, a lot of the time, only play as good as their opponent.
The Bucs Franchise is now back to where it was pre Tony Dungy, they had a great run with Gruden and Dungy, but now they are sort of in that shakey part of rebuilding the franchise.
My attempt at humor and sarcasm seems to have failed you. Would you have preferred i said Jonas Bros.?
Their run D sucks but so does ours right now. They have better receivers. Lets hope we pull off a close one. Lets hope that Furg feels better. It is also sad to say.....lets hope Channing plays.
I'm not overlooking any team. When we went 1-15 that year we beat freaking Baltimore in a game no one even pegged us of standing a chance in. TB just beat a Packers team that I believe falls pretty close to where we do on the power rankings. We SHOULD win this game, but I really try not to get my heart set on games anymore. That crushing loss to the Saints reminded me of that when I got confident and cocky going into the half.
Hoping and praying for a win against our fellow Floridians, but this is by no means a gimme. Let's just hope for a win, no matter what the margin.
I think it's better that they just won. You don't want to play a team getting more and more desperate to avoid infamy. They have a win now so they have the relief of not being lumped in with last year's Lions.
I would love a dual 200 Yard game on that "VAUNTED" Bucs Defense for Ricky and Ronnie. How great if they both break a big one off and get to 200 yards each.
Was on a Bucs message board today. They seem to fear our running game ALOT. They also think Freeman will have a field day with our secondary. Heard Jim Mandich last night make a great point, "The Dolphins have faced Matt Ryan, Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers, Drew Brees and Tom Brady. Do you think Josh Freeman scares them?"
Well, we have indeed faced a number of the league's best signal callers, but the above forementioned all eventually torched us. If we had neutralized any of such significance, perhaps it would be different, but each at some point, gashed us for scores. We have little film of Freeman to study. With Soliai dinged, and Ferg potentially rushed back into play, I don't see us in any position, to be assuming any opposing QB, anything less than a viable threat.
All I know is I'll be pissed if Turner isn't activated and Wake doesn't see a lot more playing time. This is a perfect game for it and I mean really, what the hell do we have to lose at this point?
I wont take anything for granted at this point. The Bucs are coming off their first win and will be riding high. The Panthers FINALLY remembered they have a running game and that Delhomme sucks (though they still have him throw sometimes, baffling all), the Titans are 2-0 riding the VTrain ... Suddenly the easy part of the schedule is looking a tad more dangerous. If we have any hope of getting to the playoffs we MUST beat every team we are supposed to beat. And we must show we are descisively better, not just luckier or one play better.
Yep. And I hope to hell our guys aren't taking this lightly. There wouldn't be much more embarrassing this season than to have the Bucs come into Miami and beat us. We CAN beat these guys. We have much better coaching and at least as much talent as they do. We just have to not make stupid mistakes.
I hope for a win, but I hope it's not the variety of ours against "lower" teams last year like the Seahawks, Raiders, Chiefs, Rams, etc. While wins, my blood pressure went up a bunch in those games. I like to think we are a step better than last year, despite the record. Meaning, last year, we weren't really THAT good, and we were able to - somehow - sneak by a lot of bad opponents to pad the record. This year? We've really played only one awful team, and that was Buffalo, and we saw how we pounded them from the outset. I'm hoping we're good enough to pound all such teams now, especially at home. We'll find out Sunday!
